I looked this up because I was fingering myself and felt a lump and couldn't remember if I felt rhat before. Well guess it's normal thx

It's not the cervix. I have this and have an IUD. If it were the cervix the IUD would be exposed the cervix is VERY far back.

The IUD wouldn't be exposed as that's in the in the womb only the tether cord would be outside the cervix and the cervix is only 3 to 4 inches deep depending at what point of your cycle you feel for it!

I found a similar-sounding lump in my vagina over a month ago, and because it was significantly over to the left I became very worried. On further research, I've discovered that everything's okay. If it has a small indentation, then it's your cervix. If not, maybe get it checked out. But yes it's also normal for it to be on the left or the right or whatever.
Seriously though, it's awful that so many women and girls discover a perfectly normal part of their body and think it's cancer! This stuff should be taught in schools!

I have exactly the same thing, I'm also 14. And mine is also on the left. Don't worry, if it has an indentation it's your cervix. But if you have any worries, you should definitely see your doctor.

THe cervix isnt a lumt, and if visible holding a mirror down there you'd see the cervicle os opening unless it's tilted. Sounds like the Bartholin's gland is swollen, it acts as the tonsils of the vagina, lubricates, secretes at sexual activity and can become infected, inflammed, or contract symptoms after an std and remain swollen long after you clear up, having fought bacteria to the point it gets too infected to shrink again, recurring yeast infections can tire it out too over time. The Doctor can tell exactly if it's a cyst, tumor or swollen gland, the swollen glands still secrete and can be squishy enough to still have sex but may swell more for a few hours and can develop other symptoms, best not to wait, after viewing images of Batholin's Glands conditions, those things can swell to the outside of the body. Some women go years with smaller ones with no problem, best to at least get the diagnosis and consider your options. They usually start with antibiotics, and/or biopsy to test it. It's more common than we think.
