Major pimple swelling

I have one by my eyebrow on my noseish and it swelled up under my eye and my on the side of the nose and I don't know what to do.. What should I do maybe?

If the swelling gets worse go to the doctor. Mine got worse and they ran some tests and it turned out to be a bad bacterial infection

I woke up with the same issue this morning, and I went to the doctors, he said it is an infection in the skin, starts out as a pimple but then the infection goes in further when u try to pop it... Go to the drs ASAP before it gets worse... He told me we caught it soon... Keep hot compresses on it... Not cold! Need to make it soft enough so it drains itself... If it spreads in the next few days, I was told I would need to go to the emergency room. Now I'm on antibiotics called sulfamethoxazole ..... Deff not fun to take! Get it checked out as soon as u notice it

hey, i have the excact same thing right now and its doing my head in i tried to pop it as well and as someone said and the lump like think underneith the pimple got bigger and well i got swelling right under my eye aswell but going to see whether it goes down or not and then take my self to the doctors to see. 

I have the same thing i went to the ER today and they said that the ice wasnt helping the best thing to do is to put a warm towel on it and do not touch or mess with it because it will get infected and the infection will go to your brain and become serious. Go to the doctor and ask if they can give you sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim ats the generic name the name of the drug is smz-tmp ds tab aurobindo pharm. GO TO THE DOCTOR don't think that you are fine because you NEED to get medicine for this.

i have the same problem and it is getting worse and worse my whole one side of the face is swelling and its paining me a lot i tried to remove the puss but now its paining more does any one have a solution for this plz reply .

This same thing has happened to me. Both sides of my cheeks are swelled about an inch, when I squeeze them, clear liquid comes out, sometimes mixed with blood. My acne is pretty severe an I don't know what do you, I was using clean an clear for awhile, but that didn't seem to help. Little pimples take a week or so to go away, but the sides of my cheeks have been here for a month. It's very embarrassing.

Hey guys, I've had the same thing about 3 times too. Usually it'll just be a big lump beside my nose but sometimes the swelling will reach my eye. I'm thinking it could be just a bad case of infection under the skin, but don't rule out the fact that it might be an allergic reaction. I've been taking these antibiotics along with probiotics and my face only has a bit of acne now, but once I started consuming more dairy (which I got off because I suspected I might have a bit of intolerance) that same swelling came back. So just look at different options and DON'T use proactive. It drys the skin out and usually makes breakouts worse!

 

I have the solution. Pop that muthafucka and make it rain. I hope I'm not to late!

this happened to me once before, on my nose i had a small pimple and i popped it, the next day it was a bit swollen and red, but no head so i popped it again, it got bigger and bigger , the next day my nose was rly swollen, a clear liquid would come out when i squeezed it but nothing else, i used "bacitracina" (im portuguese not sure what the english version is) u use it for small pimples and wounds, but it still took a week to get better. now i have it again and i did the hot water soaked cloth trick, i did it about 20 minutes while watching tv, Soak it on water, put on the swelled up area and then re-do when it gets cold, re-heat the water when it gets only warm (must be rly hot, close to burning ya. To test touch it with your lips if it burns STOP, wait for the cloth to cool a bit and then proceed) its been about 3 hours and it has worked so far, the swelling has reduced about 50%. lets pray that tomorrow its still good :/

 

I have this same problem as well when I use proactive. It only ever occurs when my face is really dried out and I've tried popping a pimple and using the product. I suggest using a warm washcloth and covering it, because it is most likely just inflammation, not infection (if it hurts and lot and you don't see any changes, I always recommend seeing a doctor). also try to drink a lot of water in attempt to rehydrate.

seriously, i google searched this because this is the first time i had a swollen cheek because of a pimple but thanks for the advice ...ill try the ice fir

Haha funny thing is im here for the same exact thing but its on the inner side of my nose next to my eye.. Its making me look like i got punched... Iv never dealt with acne.. So it scares me and its not showing any sign of wanting to pop anytime soon

Hey, this problem occurs because of an infection caused by opening your pores and letting bacteria in. Some acne treatments are designed to open pores but make sure you don't finish your facial routine before cleansing and closing those pores back up. Personally I would recommend exfoliating, steaming then washing with cold water. To get rid of this quicker now that its happened antibiotics is the medication but a simple home remody of the routine mentioned above will make a huge difference. Put the kettle on, grab a towel and a large bowl. Fill the bowl with boiling water and place your face over the bowl with the towl over your head and bowl to prevent steam escaping. Do this after or before exfoliating and when your pores are nice and open use a cleaning product to clear out the pores. Use cold water afterwards to close them back up and your good.

Same thing happens to me at least twice a year. usually right inbetween my eyes or right beside my lip (not a coldsore) what i found to really work is: wrapping a small ice cube in tissue paper. and wetting the tissue with Tea tree oil based tonner. you can get it at the body shop for about 7 dollars. hold it there as frequently and as long as you wish. for me my pimple is gone with 24hours after doing 3 times a day for about 4 minutes each. Goodluck, im current nursing my own this morning.
