I have experienced this twice before. When I was 14 and 20, now 22. One or both of my nipples had uncomfortable pain every time something brushed against it: my hand, the floor, or a shirt. The pain was not severe just sharp. I also notice a slight puffiness. I WAS ABLE TO RELIEVE SOME OF THE PAIN. The situation reminded me of how women say their nipples hurt after they had a baby. This is because of a blockage or backup of fluid. Using that logic I attempted to drain the area. I used my figers and pinched around the mass under my nipple and pulled my nipple away from my body. Beads of a yellowish, transpartent liquid came out. It still hurt and kept repeating until it hurt too much. I repeated for a week and most of the sharp pain went away. After a month I had normal sensation. I attempted the procedure again after a few months of no pain to see if there was anymore liquid and there was not. Not sure if it will work for anyone else but it is worth it to give it a try.
your response sounds as if I could have written it myself... Except that I have not been to a doctor about it... I am also severely overweight and have the same pain behind my nipples...When I roll over at night it wakes me up sometimes the pain is so severe... Don't know exactly what to do
i am 75 years old the same happened to me today, I just did what you said i touch my left boob and appl;ied pressure for 30 seconds and the pain went away for awhile. but comes right back,........
I am age 59 and have the exact same thing. Today was the worse. Very painful and burning. I do have fibromyalgia and Hashimotos but have not heard of this with those conditions.
When young men go thru puberty sore and very tender nipples are a part of it. Also it last awhile so tell the boy suck it up, he is becoming a man and he is already crying like a little wuss.
Help me this pain is annoying
