I am 40 yrs old and I'm pretty active in good shape and eat healthy too I don't drink a drop of alcohol but have smoked more than my share of herb. I recently had my appendix out and the my doctor noted I'm in excellent shape and am very healthy except my liver appears to be very old and greyed for someone my age. I am sure it is from my use of marijuana.

Í used cannabis since 1965, until recently when it was shown to me that usage causes fibrosis by 7-fold. I have chronic hep c, cirrhosis and end-stage liver disease. Obviously, I disconitinued use, even though I've been vaping it for the last 4 years.

My brother is in end stage liver failure. He smokes a little pot now and then to help with his pain, he says. Actually the pot doesn't do anything for the pain, and his doctor advised him that smoking pot while going through liver failure is damaging his liver even further, and cutting short his life expectation. The choice is up to him, to hang on as long as he can, or make it (death) happen faster by continuing to smoke marijuana. To you, again, the choice is yours, but if you want to die sooner, keep on toking.
