Before YOU start telling people it's not safe, why don't you actually research what is true and proven by scientists and doctors alike instead of believing propaganda. Cancer patients are sometimes prescribed cannabis as palliative care towards the end of their lives.

Do you take oral contraceptives? Also, you should be able to talk to your doctor about cannabis use. I talk to mine about it, medical is not legal in my state.

I feel your opinion is very very biased, you should do a lot more research before you say your "opinion" online many many studies show that there is no link between smoking marihuana and developing lung or throat cancer, although it does increase your chance of mouth and gum problems due to "cottonmouth." Marihuana has proven anti-cancer properties, as to liver damage, marihuana does not cause any sort of liver damage as it does not metabolize through your liver and also marihuana is proven to slow heart rates NOT giving people heart attacks. This isnt big tobacco/pharma/etc BS. This is natures medicine.

They don't prescribe "smoking pot" to people with cancer or aids. They prescribe them with pills that in some cases don't even get you high because all of the psychoactive components have been filtered out. No good doctor is going to recommend you inhale superheated air into your lungs. That's just bad no matter if it's weed smoke, tobacco smoke, or simply just heated oxygen.

my husband has smoked cigarettes since he was 13. he is now 57. he has also smoked marijuana since he was 15. he recently had a full body medical and the Dr. was surprised he had absolutely no lung damage. I bet you any money that's because of the marijuana counteracting the bad nicotine.

no it does not cause lung cancer(that has been debunked), you are 2/3 less likely to get any cancer from the neck up when you are a chronic cannabis smoker(so Its unlikely to cause throat cancer).
The problem with the studies are that most of the people in the studies also smoke Cigs, but If you are worried about getting cancer switch to a vapes(not the e-liquid kind) or edibles... as far as heart attacks go its more to do with axiety attacks then anything else, by it self cannabis does not raise you BP, it only raises when someone is paranoid, exited... if you have bad anxiety don't smoke cannabis, just smoke some indica(sedative high) instead or better yet find a strain that is 1:1 ratio of THC and CBD(non-psychoactive and has anti anxiety effects).

Daily marijuana use has been linked to liver disease. I'm not sure why you can't tell your doctor, unless this is a work related issue you should be able to tell them. Check out this article on marijuana and liver damage ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed*** This article talks about people switching from alcohol to marijuana to because of liver disease because they think it's healthier, unfortunately there have been several studies that show frequent marijuana use can cause liver disease. I say find a Dr you find comfortable taking too, they can't help you unless they know the full story.

Background & Aims: Complications of HCV infection are primarily related to the development of advanced fibrosis and whether cannabis use is a risk factor for more severe fibrosis is controversial. Methods: Baseline data from a prospective cohort study of 204 persons with chronic HCV infection were used for analysis. The outcome was fibrosis score on biopsy, and the primary predictor evaluated was daily cannabis use. Results: The median age of the cohort was 46.8 years, 69.1% were male, 49.0% were white, and the presumed route of infection was injection drug use in 70.1%. The median lifetime duration and average daily use of alcohol were 29.1 years and 1.94 drink equivalents per day, respectively. Cannabis use frequency (within prior 12 months) was daily in 13.7%, occasional in 45.1%, and never in 41.2%. Fibrosis stage, assessed by the Ishak method, was F0, F1–2, and F3–6 in 27.5%, 55.4%, and 17.2% of subjects, respectively. Daily compared with non-daily cannabis use was significantly associated with moderate to severe fibrosis (F3–6 vs F1–2) in univariate (odds ratio [OR], 3.21; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.20–8.56, P = .020) and multivariate analyses (OR, 6.78; 95% CI, 1.89–24.31, P = .003). Other independent predictors of F3–6 were ≥11 portal tracts (compared with

A few months back i had a routine physicial. i do this annually. My liver enzymes for the past 3 years were elevated. My doctor attributed this to alcohol as i admitted i drank about 10 units a week. My last result my liver enzymes were 110 (normal is 40-50) i did 4 weeks no booze but still vapourized once a night. My numbers dropped to 90... But still high. i admitted to him i use pot and he know has me doing 6 weeks no booze or weed. Lets see... From what ive read online and from other replies in this post pot and elevated liver enzymes are hand in hand.

I think its also worth mentioning too that everyone is different. Some people can process it without issues some cannot. I think if my results are back to normal ill learn to use pot moderatley. No more chronic use.

Theres a lot of misinformed people on here though. Dam. Get real folks... Its not harmless... Nothing is harmless chronically. Also...it wont "cure" cancer. Thats a death wish if you think that. Im not saying alternative therapies are better but if you think your smarter than a medical oncologist, youre up next for the darwin award.
