did it help your foot pain?
OMG!! I, second, that I'm not the only one dealing with the feet pain!! I've been to ortho dr., acupuncturist and now a chiropractor who just, today, suggested I have my hormones checked. So, I've made an appointment with a menopause specialist in two weeks. Praying that they find something is off kilter just so I know I'm not losing my mind!! No one understands what I've been trying to tell them about the foot pain!! Drs. kept telling me it was plantar fasciitis!! Thank God my chiro dr said it's definitely not that!! So, we'll see in about 2 weeks what my blood panel turns out.

My joints in my feet hurt so bad that it makes me walk like a little old lady! I am very active and rarely set in the house because on top of work we have several farms that we run. I do take calcium and always have for sore joints but it doesent work anymore! Sure wish there was a fix for this problem!
Same exact symptoms as me I am taking your advice~
My feet are so painful, and only since going through the menopause. I don't if it is related but it feels like my bones are growing in different directions causing pain and deformity.
I believe this thread is still going so I am jumping in.
Please also try Remifemin (you can get at Walmart); along with the following supplements: chrominum-polynicotinate (be sure it's "poly"); alpha-lipoic acid (especially); a multi-vitamin; a D3,calcium, magnesium (sold as a combo supplment). drink plenty of water & try to exercise for 30 min. Worked for me.
I have been suffering with numbness on both feet it is the outside going onto the fleshy bit under ankle. I have had blood tests which have come back clear. Has anyone else got this problem and what do you advise
I am 50 and have been having the same problems. It seems I woke up one morning and my feet and hands were no longer flexible. They hurt all the time. I envisioned all kinds of problems, ie MS, ALS and others, besides the usual mood swings, weight gain, no energy and all that fun stuff. I don't know if this will help anyone else but this is what I am trying. The first thing I did was to research some supplements, because I don't want to take HRT. I found a site and purchased a few things, but while I was waiting on those to arrive I started to increase my water intake to 3+ liters a day after about the 3rd day without doing anything else I started to notice some flexibility returning to my feet and less pain in both my feet and my hands. My supplements arrived and I started taking those and my mood and motivation has improved steadily since. This is what I started taking, Celery seed Extract, Cherry Fruit extract, Lecithin and a menopause mixture. I am not advertising for anyone nor do I get a kick back from this company just giving the name of the company I used which was Swanson's and I found them on the internet. There are many companies out there. I just started the supplements last week so don't know how well they will work long term, but I already feel so much better about the world in general that I am going to continue with this program and see how it works out. I will post back in a month or so and let everyone know how this is working out.
I just wanted to say how grateful I am to have found this site. No one ever mentioned the foot pains or stiffness as being symptoms of menopause and no medical sites that I found included these as symptoms of menopause. I am so glad to know I wasn't losing my mind.
Hello ladies, am I ever glad I found this thread.
I had an oophorectomy almost two years ago. About four months after the surgery, I started having numbness and tingling in my feet, which after 18 months has turned into excruciating foot pain! Some pain in my hands as well - I've done the gamut of tests, for peripheral neuropathy, lupus, RA, Lyme's, you name it. Everything comes back always normal. I had a friend mention she knew someone who had the same thing and was put on the birth control pill: that is what triggered me looking at trying to figure out if this is hormone related or not. I was on HRT for a year, but I cannot say that it helped or hindered. I will try the supplements suggested - I'm so desperate because this has really slowed me down - I'm 50 with young kids, I don't want to be this crippled up for the rest of my life. It's also SO depressing. Thank you for this thread - it's so nice to know I'm not alone.
Yes even I am in that stage and I am expereicne foot pain. also my knees also pain.. I am trying turmeric milk at night since yday. will keep u posted abt results.
Also grateful I found this thread I am 51 and just started having foot pain where I have to lie down and put my feetup and take ibuprofin. It is difficult to walk bear foot and I have to go to work with runners (orthotics) It has affected my fitness level greatly. I will try the supplements suggested here. I believe it's hormones as I just had the Mirena IUD inserted to stop floodings.
This is a result of this I believe!
