I've been menstruating for over seven weeks now. The bleeding has gotten heavier and I am passing larger and larger blood clots. My doctor said to come back when the bleeding stops to have a pap test. My flow has never been on any schedule and I went without a period for about THREE YEARS before this crazy bout of bleeding started. My doctor does not seem concerned in the slightest as my ultrasound a year ago came back clear. I am starting to get really worried as my sister had uterine cancer and had to have a hysterectomy just over two years ago. My mom and sister both have anemia. I do not according to my last test. Does anyone have any advice or answers?

I am not a doctor, but you should ask your Doctor to do a Endometrial Biopsy, ie a small sample of the lining of the uterus, as abnormal vaginal bleeding could be a sign of cancer.
