Hi, I have very minor surgery this past tuesday in my followup I ended up getting a secondary infection have the antibotics, What my question is he drew a line under where the redness stopped and said if the redness goes past this part you need to get it checked. Now I am supposed to stay off my feet and have it elevated being a single mother and living with my grandmother its hard to I do stay off as much as I can and its always elevated and now I am using crutches to help me stop putting pressure on my toe. The redness has gone past the line but I don't know if its caused by the tape or the infection? What do you think
I should have also said that it is not as red as it was on friday either, and that the redness that is going past the line is coming and going.
I am not familiar with surgerys and infections afterwards I went and got it checked and I got different meds. for the infection. Its now a week later and the redness is still there (which I know will be) however the pain has been slowly moving into my other toes now and on the bottom of my foot. All I had is a permant partial removal of a toe nail, didn't think I would get this much grief, am I looking forward to the end you bet get to wear shoes I haven't been able to in a long time. But I am not sure if this is what happens with an infection if the pain should be moving into other toes now? Yesterday it stung soooo but that I started crying at work how embarrassing. Please some one give me some advice
