Well idk about this. Everytime i call and try to "talk" to my doctor they completely avoid my questions and concerns and have literally ignored my wanting to get the IUD but thank god im finally getting it out this Monday! I believe that NO ONE Knows their body better then their own selves. The doctor can NOT tell me what MY body is feeling. This isn't to say that the IUD isn't good for some women but its defiantly not good for all... My life has been nothing but hell ever since i got this awful thing in. Ive been bleeding for seven months straight and the heart palpitations ive been getting (which have never been an issue before) are unreal. Pretty much all im saying is the IUD can and does in fact have side effects. Just gotta hope youre the lucky one who doesnt get them.
Some people get bacterial vaginitis. The smell can be an indicator. If it doesn't subside I'd suggest you go in to see your OB.
I lost about 1/3 of my hair in the 4 months I had a mirena. I've also had heart palpitations that whole time. I had it removed a month ago and my hair is still falling out, but not as much....seems to be slowly stopping. I'm still having heart palpitations too.
My Dr got really angry when I asked her to take it out after a month because I was losing my hair and having heart palpitations. I ended up keeping it 4 months, losing 1/3 of my hair and am still having heart palpitations. It's only been a month since removing it so I'm hoping I'll balance out again soon.
If you have never had one an experienced the sudden onset of changes the Mirena can cause, you should just keep your mouth shut. If someone has never had certain issues and suddenly has a problems after putting one in, it's logical to believe the problems are coming from it, especially when there are 1000's of women who have gone through the same thing. Even if you didn't have the Mirena, did you use some type of birth control? All BC has side effects and you even said your problems came after having kids....so please tell me why someone who was perfectly healthy before the mirena, who has no kids, can have a multitude of problems following the mirena but the problems not be the mirena?
I have read your post and that you were having your mirena removed about a year ago. Just wondering if it worked - did the symptoms you mentioned go away? I have similar symptoms but love my mirena because of the lack of periods. But maybe its time to get it removed as it is effecting my lifestyle - please let me know how you are doing now
I have had a Mireana for close on 15 years (changed every 5 years) and have loved the no periods and not needing to worry about falling pregnant. However I have suffered from many of the symptoms people are talking about for years and never been able to get to the bottom of them. The main and worst one has been skin rashes and hives. only just started thinking maybe this is due to the mireana. did the removal help with your rashes?
I got the iud mirena over two weeks ago, and since they have put it in I have been bleeding. What do I do? What does this mean?
