Mixing codeine and alcohol

Either I have a high tolerance, or you guys have a low tolerance. Sure it's not reccomended but nobody knows your body like yourself. Whenever I do codeine I cold water extract it and do 300mg. I do not drink until about 2 hours as I have absolutely no urge to drink on a codeine high. Once the effects wear off I can drink as much beer as I want, I actually get less drunk than usual.
Don't do anything stupid, but know your body and drink slowly would be my advice

I should also add, once you get drunk...you want to do more codeine. I have also done this with no bad side effects...but if you dont feel like you can handle it dont do it

I take codeine and drink (red wine).... nothing at all has happened to me, not even felt drowsy. (I take 60 mg codeine phosphate up to 4 times in 24 hours) not that the codeine actually works as a pain killer.... its a pile of c**p.

I came on here looking for advice on whether or not is would be okay to go out for beers with my mates while taking the recommeded dosage of T3's. Clearly that doesn't seem to be that big of an issue, but I'll try to make sure some one is next to me monitoring my breathing *wink* *wink*. I swtiched to the T3's for going out instead of the oxycodone (Percacets) since there have been some recent deaths associated with that combo (Derek Boogaard).

i have drank 2 cans of cider and half a bottle of wine and half a bottle of codeine linctus and the back of my head feels like my brain is getting larger n pressing against my skull any thing to be worried about?

Hi I'v taken 4 tablets of 30MG Codine through out the day today as i had some pain, the pain has gone.However I'm wanting to have a few drinks tonight with friend (in about 6 hours time) will i be ok having a few??

i think  when u take 4 xtc and drink to many alcohol is bad ull dry out
so drink (soms) water with ur stuffy

just had 400mg of codiene and about 6 pints, my stomach hurts and the entire top half of my body has gone red, but apart from that im having a good time.  ;-)

I take codeine #3 5 all the time while I drink .... It makes me tingly and I sleep reall good .. as far as passing out or being hospitalized.... It's never happened to me ... I usually drink a 12 pack a day so if you can't handle your alcohol ... This may not be for you ... I do it cuz I can .. I'm not trying to out drink or " play with the big boys " ... I just know what I can handle...

i just cwe'd a tec 3 and ive had a few beers, will i be all good? i think so. and this is the same dumb question everyone has been asking. it probably wont hurt you. just be sure to moderate yourself and don't over do it.

probably best not to mix, even though some less than clever people on this site are advising differently or making comments re others talking shite...our bodies react differenlty to differnt drugs, as said before both are CNS depressants therefore should not be mixed, if mixed the risk of respiratory failure is high, especially re some of the reported ammounts of both drugs consumed!!!

not worth it, unless you like dicing with death and if so may i suggest the Darwin Awards.

Had my appendix out and had some 8/500 cocods with alcohol no intention of getting high just wanted to drink wine while watching tv. No problems HOWEVER the gp prescribed me some 30/500s and I had a red wine headache starting while I was still drinking and watching Inception on blu-ray.  Headache went and I felt fine - Finished film went to bed woke up an hour later feeling sweaty and trippy and not so good but quite calm - similar to the feeling of morphine before my op but not as drowsy.  Felt hotter wondered if I was going to vomit

Then felt really thirsty, noticed a glass of water and decided to reach for it.  Then I heard a really loud bang next to my head, then realised my cheek hurt then realised the loud bang was the sound of my head hitting the bathroom (wooden) floor.  Figured out I had fainted (thought I was still in bed at first but then remembered going to the toilet).

Lay on floor for about half an hour until I dared getting up again breathing and heart felt weird.  I, like other poster decided to stay awake as I felt I needed to concentrate on breathing.

Narrowly missed splitting my head on the sink I realised later - don't know how I missed it really.  On the plus side all the above sounds really scary but i was very calm - good old opiates.

DON'T MIX OPIATES WITH ALCOHOL UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE.  I FEEL STUPID TODAY.  Some dickheads on this site are saying potentially lethal ammounts are fine.  Everyone is different and the same person might be able to tolerate a dose one day but not on another.  People saying they regularly taken their whole stash will not live a long life because the paracetomol is absorbed by your vital organs and it doesn't do them any favours.

hey you guys, your missing the point.

took 900mg of codeine, with 30 grams of paracetamol and 7 bourbons, woke up in a resucitation room at hospital and put in a psych ward for a few days, gonna go for 8 bourbons with 2000/3000mg of codeine next time and extract the paracetamol next time, get a 5 star hotel and say bye byes :-)

I drink wine every night and smoke pot and take 3 codeine everynight.. i still get up in the morning and get my kids ready for school... i feel fine. but that BUZZ everynight makes me function the next day..
