I would like to know what MS specialist nurses do? My mom is MS patient and I am considering hiring one, but I am not sure what kind of care they provide. Some information about their responsibilities will help me. Thank you in advance.

On of my friend hired MS specialist nurse and she said that from her experience it make a great difference in positive sense. They provide specialist clinical advice and support to people with MS, help people manage their MS, and be a first port of call when new symptoms or other issues develop. MS specialist nurses often act to co-ordinate, they can provide personal support and guidance, but when necessary, may refer someone on to a doctor or a therapist, identify other needs such as emotional support or counseling, or perhaps help people see how to get help with personal care.
