at 17 is tarted expeirencing the same symptoms as you (also snot on poop). the doctors spent tons of my parents money, thought i had everything from ulcer to reproductive issues. someone mentioned cutting out wheat and dairy.
i now know i am allergic to cows. yes, cows. unlike lactose intolerant people i cannot eat beef and the pills for lactopse intolerance don't work. the doctors proabably never suspected this because i did not show symptoms of lactose intolerance.
best of luck...and, if it is an allergy after a few years you won't remember how delicious what your allergic to tasted like. it gets better.
A person has cramps, diarrhea with blood and mucous. The previous history reveals one or several of the following: Food poisoning; Antibiotic treatment; Thyroid desease; Parasites infection; Stomach viral infections; Celliac desease (diagnosed or undiagnosed); Taking anti-acid medication (especially new generation medication).
All of these affect the intestinal flora. We all are living symbioses with our friendly intestinal flora. We simply cannot live without it. Just imagine, we have 2 to 4 kilos (4-10 lbs) of living mass of microorganisms in our guts! They completely cover our intestinal walls in a form of clear mucous. Unfortunately, western medical establishment "does not believe" in how important this fact is. It doesn't matter what caused the damage to your "simbiotic twin brother". The cure is to help restore the amount of these good bacteria and to supress overgtowth of bad bacteria and yeast. Unlike with antibiotics there is no quick solution. You have to go a long way of folowing a healthy diet and taking probiotics. There is plenty of information online about it.
I had in the past same problems and it took me long-long time by trials and errors to heal. Of course, first, rule out possible cases of acute gastro-intestinal infections, take strong antibiotics if necessary, these infections can be lethal. But after the infection is gone, steer towards the healthy diet and plenty of friendly bacteria. And I'm not talking about yogurt, this is not enough. You need to grow back these friendly bacteria and nurse them for the rest of your life if you want to be healthy. Change brands of probiotics from time to time to make sure you consume potent living cells in enough quantities.
Try a gluten-free diet for 2-4 weeks. If it helps with your symptoms then you're have gluten intolerance, which may or may not be shown in lab tests. It is not easy to follow this diet since practically every processd food has gluten in it. All restaurant food has it. It's everywhere, even in dairy products (except may be milk), sauces, seasoning, candies, beer, alcohol. Even rice or corn flour can be contaminated with gluten. The only way to eliminate gluten in your diet is to eat home-made food prepared from whole food: grains not containing gluten (rice, millet, buckwheat), unseasoned meat, eggs, vegetables, and fruit.
I wish you all good health.
I've unfortunately had problems like this since I was 16 and have gone to my doctor about it several times but they always act as if nothin is wrong.
I do have anxiety and am always stress out (I'm 21 now) and I am an excessive drinker, with vitamin deficiencies. Possibly, and more likely that not, these things are causes my problems.
I just had a week of BS stomach pains (which were just bothering me 10 minutes ago ... that's why I was looking over the internet.) and horrible diarrhea for aweek straight, all day long, every day every night every single morning. It's so uncomfortable. I just got married 4 months ago and it's steadily getting worse, and so embarrassing becuase the gas is ridiculous.
I'm 21 and wish that my doctors would take me seriously. One time, my doctor gave me an antibiotic for a cold but when I tookit it made me feel SO much better. I'm allergic to amoxicillian so the doctor had given me an antibiotic primarily for stomach problems. And it worked! So I just feel, it can't be just my anxiety, or drinking. I Think there is something else going on a parasitic level.
I think, after reading this. I'm gonna go back to the doctor and demand for some kind of test. Cause I can't live like this. I just got Tri Care through the army- and the doctors are ridiculous. But I'm gonna try nonetheless.
Thank you everyone for the input and information.
