My daughter began with the underarm odor at 4.  Pediatrician said not to worry, so I didn't.  I use Secret Powder on her just as I do myself, and it keeps it in check.  She just turned 6 in February, and now has hair under her arm.  I am certain that this is not due to any milk products as she is alergic and has never drank milk or consumed any dairy products other than the cheese on pizza, rarely.

I started my period just before my 10th birthday, but I do not recall having hair under my arms before that? I am going to do as suggested and take her to a pediatric endocrinologist.

Hi Guest, if you live in the States you have to be extremely careful with your food as a lot of it has added Growth Hormones which is causing young girls to go into puberty earlier than your's or your mothers generation. Organic, non-GMO, or local vegetable markets are the places to shop for vegetables and fruits - for meat, same thing you want to go the local farmers and ask about the barn/animal practices as a lot of farmers add Growth Hormones into meat as well. This is for fast turnover, the faster it grows the quicker you get your money and the more you get as you are constantly turning over your crop. Disgusting! You need to get yourself educated on foods out there and get you and your family healthy again.

My 6 year old daughter also has underam odour. I'm not sure why so young? He teeth came in late and she doesn't grow fast. I don't think she is going to develop female hormones at an early age but I don't think this is normal either. I am going to see her doctor as well. I don't think she should have to wear deorderant at her age.

Sometimes when children take showers on their own they don't wash themselves properly. Even if we show them the correct way. Sometimes it is heard for us to always monitor if they are doing it properly. When I give my niece a bath and I use powder, her underarm doesn't smell. When she does this herself she smells like a basketball team. U can bathe her or atleast monitor her, and put some powder under her arm.

I think the best natural deodorant brand is Lavilin  :-)

My kids and I have been using it for years and years and we have never had a negative experience!

Try having your daughter ingest Arm and hammer pure baking soda, probably one teaspoon full, daily for PH balance restoration... Witch Hazel may be used beneath arms and on ALL private parts to eliminate all odors...It is a must-have for adults, too...I carry a small bottle with me... I believe that you could put Witch Hazel in shampoo to eliminate scalp odors, too... I am going to use this method to help my 10 year year old granddaughter with scalp odors... To get a child to grow: Pray and ask the Father in Jesus' name to let[name] grow, believe that the child grows and give the child starting at 8/9 multivitamins/ 100mgs. of zinc every other day, 1,000 mcgs of vitamin d3, lots and lots of orange juice/milk, red meat at least twice weekly/ green vegetables daily/no lifting weights until 18 years[including wrestling ect. and watch the child grow... I followed this said mentioned formula when my son was14.5 years at 5'2.5 in four months, at 15 he was 5'10.5.. He is now 6'2.4" without shoes and almost 48 years...

I'm going through this with my 7 year old daughter. Her arm pits have been smelling so strong lately. I've never even had mine smell like this. The dr. just thought I was crazy and shrugged it off. Now I'm getting worried. She's my baby.. how could she be going through puberty already. I will try the organic milk and meats, but she doesn't do much dairy. Maybe I should just go straight to the Endocronologist route? I would hate to make her go through the blood work and all of that for nothing..

My second daughter started the same problem last year when she was turning four. After trying all the things like extra washing, putting baby powder in her arm pits, reducing the usage of spices , onions and garlic I gave up. Nothing worked. Then I thought about her diet and what are the things she was eating too much recently. It was too much Kraft cheese in cheese quesadillas and too much cold stone ice cream ( it could be any other brand. Her favorite was strawberry all the time) so I stopped those little by little and she stopped smelling little by little. Finally one she stopped smelling adult like completely. I think it helped that way. Now she never smells. She still indulges into both but very rarely. Even my little girl thinks too much ice cream or too much cheese in anything is not worth it. Please try this and if it works post it everywhere you can to help spread the word of solution for other little kids.
