That's so discouraging to hear! I have heard that botox is one of the best treatments for hyperhidrosis even though it can ultimately cause secondary sweating in other locations like the hand palms of forehead, but if you are desperate that might be worth it and I would absolutely consider it for myself. Have you tried special prescription antiperspirants, which might help reduce the bacterial load? This is another "treatment" if not a cure, commonly recommended by doctors.

Try miraDry treatment. Ask your doctor!
It's suppose to work.
I have bad problems and I'm going to see if I can get that done.
Look it up on google.
It fixes the problem for life!!

FDA approved for hyperhidrosis, non-invasive, uses microwaves... I wonder if that's available in the UK? Don't get me wrong, I am not quite in this boat myself. My armpits certainly smell fine after showering!!! But I do get really sweaty at the gym and I sometimes have the impression that, and this is embarrassing as hell, my sweat smells worse than other people's. I don't get away with wearing the same T-shirt more than a day no way, for instance.

I'm really interested in this MiraDry and I'd like to have a topic just about that.

You should go to the pharmacy and ask for deodorants with aluminum chloride( Helps block sweat glands) Some deodorants they sell are no more sweat, driclor, certain dri these all help with excessive sweating not like normal deodorants. If this doesnt help ask your pharmacy what deodorants they have that are effective against sweating dw

You are absolutely correct! I use apple cider vinegar and it cuts the smell immediately and last more than 24hrs

If you eat a lot of fatty food and meat you tend to smell more. Try changing your eating habits. Also, use a cleanser with a neutral pH. Shave or remove hair because when you sweat, the hair will be the breeding ground for bacteria. Try to avoid commercial deodorants (homemade might be better like coconut oil with lemon).

I've been shaving my armpits since I was twenty under recommendation of a friend who was a golden glove boxer. I've tried the hand sanitizer route before, it worked for a week or two then just kind of started smelling like a mix of sanitizer and sweat. I suffered from hyperhydrosis since I hit puberty (undiagnosed) made worse by also suffering from social anxiety (undiagnosed until I was 22, [now 40]) which increased "stress sweat" enormously. Well about 2 years ago fed up with the excessive sweating and odor that came along with it I search for hours online and finally came across a video of a man who seemingly found a remedy or better yet THEE reason for the excessive sweat even when not at all physically active....

The culprit? I bet you'd never guess it was the very thing being used to combat the sweat.... Antiperspirant!!! That's right!!! It turns out our bodies see the Aluminum in the antiperspirant as an invading TOXIN!!! And how does the body release toxins??? Sweating!!! So it becomes a vicious cycle of attacking sweating with antiperspirant and the body COUNTER attacking the aluminum with sweating!!! The higher the Aluminum percentage of the antiperspirant the worse it was. So having nothing to lose but embarrassing odor I switched to deodorant only and as was stated in the video I was rank for the first month while my body finished sweating out all the toxins from the antiperspirants. But after that and the two years since the sweat and odor have greatly been reduced. I no longer have to go through 3 shirts minimum a day.

Now I do have occasional flare ups due to diet as was said here before. I would say it's do to the amount of seasonings used on the meats, especially onions, onion powder or flakes. For about a week after consuming foods with heavy seasonings I reek. But heavy exercise or time in a sauna can sweat out the odors faster than not.

Sorry for the long winded story but I hope this information is helpful to some as I know it won't be helpful to all since our bodies don't all react the same.

Wow strange but I'm desperate enough to try it. I feel like I've scoured the interwebs in search of solutions to my undersrm smell problem. Deodorant and antiperspirants simply don't work. I bathe twice a day. I've tried using essentials oils as deodorant. I've used the alcohol in a bottle with essential oil thing as deodorant as some people reported it worked. I've changed diet. I've added more greenery. I drink an apple cider vinegar detox. I haven't used conventional deodorant for over a month. I started using a natural deodorant and that seemed to actually help a bit. But I noticed when I was at work although my underarms didn't smell bad my sweat soaked into the shirt I was wearing which caused underwear odor. I dont know what to do. I feel like I've tried literally everything and nothing works long term nor does anything work for more than a couple hours without cleaning and reapplication. Hard to have a social life that way. Forget social life. Let's talk about work life where you're at a desk on a phone 8-12 hours a day sitting next to people. That said the only neosporin I have right now is the cream looking formula not the clear salve looking one. So we shall see tonight after I shower. Long winded I know but I wanted to expression that my frustration seems to match yours and others and I pray this will work. Thanks again for posting!

indiscriminate use of anti biotics is NOT good.in fact it will make you immune to anti biotics if you really need them.like if you have a surgery or something or a nasty illness.

this is a good thing.so much better than antibiotic soap and creams.anti biotics will make you resistant to them if used indiscrimanatley
