Just a recommendation. I found something online that may help her to transition to the products a little easier and a lil less messy. Theyre called Period Panties.

Just a suggestion, if she still needs them . :) Hope it helps.
So I'm 11 1/2 going to be 12 in 5 months. I got my period last November 29 2012 so I've had my period for quite some time. And at first I didn't like to wear pads, they felt uncomfortable. So now I wear tampons! Once in a while I'll wear a pad when I run out of Tampons and they're really uncomfortable!!! Try getting your daughter tampons. They're comfortable.
P.S. they don't make you lose your virginity!!!
lol this made me laugh so hard...because its true. unless culturally theres some barbaric reason she needs that intact because her husband will think shes not a virgin or some stupidity like that it shouldn't matter. most mothers are afraid to have there kid wear one because it was ingrained in us over the years. maybe its a good idea if any one is still reading this , to take her to the dr and have them ex plane it to her.
Maybe you could get reusable sanitary products as they feel more like clothes and so less annoying. Or thinner pads. You can get some specifically for teens. One thing I would recommend above all though is to stop shaming your daughter because she bleeds. It is natural and yes messy, but if we didnt live in a disgustingly throw away society we would have to clean blood out of reusable pads anyway. I do every month and it isn't gross, it's just part of being a woman. At least reusables would save her clothes from stains.Maybe you should also teach your daughter how to do the washing if it bothers you so much. It's her body and if she bleeds, she bleeds. Stop shaming something so natural and part of growing up.
WHAT???? No. You are wrong, hun. I wore tampons at the age of 14 and trust me, my virginity was fully intact until the day i lost it at 18.
This "tampons break the hymen" this is a myth. a very old one. and a very incorrect one.
No. That is False.
No offense intended here, but not using anything at all IS pretty gross. It smells, and it can cause infections. So can sanitary products, but not if you use them correctly. Plus, you must have an amazing and light period, because mine absolutely bleeds through my clothes. This woman is not trying to shame her daughter. She is trying to teach her proper hygiene.
Is it possible she is just bleeding heavily? I came on here concerned because whenever I do wash my daughters underwear are covered in blood and I thought it was weird she wasn't concerned and asking for a better tampon or something. I was also worried she is bleeding far worse than most 12 year olds. :( It is so fricking 1930's to think a tampon would make her lose her virginity. It is liberating for a women to be able to find a comfortable solution other tahn wearing a stinky pad. I started wearing tampons in 5th grade. Thank God, because I would have missed out on a lot if I had not such as swimming, etc.
