Hi Jess,

my situation sounds almost identicle, im 178cm 150kg and 26 years old.

I took my first duromine 40mg today, (Cant say I felt any different than any other day though).

Was looking at getting a cross trianer and then last minute changed my mind and got a cardio gym.

Hopefully duromine gives me the energy to get up off my ass and I see some results to help keep me motiviated to burn some of the fat off. The biggest thing will be to eat healthy and eat regualry. not eating can be just as bad as over eating.

How has your first 10 days been?

Hi there! I am so happy I found this website! Iv been trying to find something like this over the last week. I am 26 years old, 152cm and usually weigh 52kgs.......... I had never seen the 60kg mark on a scale, however I had surgery in May and something happened to my body.... I am currently 63kgs, which doesnt sound huge, but its huge for me! I am starting duromine 40mg tomorrow, but am a little nervous. Iv only heard good things about it in re to the weight dropping off, however its the side effects that worry me. I am a school teacher, so I need to have the energy so Im hoping that even if I have late nights or NO SLEEP that when I have a capsule in the morning that it gives me a bounce of energy. Please keep me posted on your progress! Thanku. Chan

>"I think all you people who lose 5 to 10 kg in first week are kidding youselves"

Pretty sure I can speak for all the sucsess stories of Duromine, that we aren't in fact kidding ourselves. Duromine will make you loose a substantial amount of weight really fast. Just because you and your wife have put on, (the only case of putting on weight whilst on Duromine I've ever seen... just putting that out there) doesn't mean it doesn't work for the rest of us. Ever think why you may have put on? Water weight? Muscle mass from 'working out on the treadmill for one hour a day'?

Maybe you're the ones who are kidding yourself.

Also, eating only one small meal a day isn't going to help your cause. You will go into survival mode and your body will harbor every little thing it's given as storage for when you decide to starve yourself again.

Hello guys, I just found this forum because im back on Duromine. I used it once before and that was a year ago, weighing in at 115kg for a 16 year old of 171 cm is not very healthy, and i also developed a fatty liver that almost certainly leads to liver cancer. However after 2 months of using Duromine I went down to 67 kgs. My diet was very poor though as I only ate 4 apples per day. Nothing else.

Needless to say, my metabolism dropped drastically and as soon as I started eating again i put on weight, additionally with my impending HSC coming up I ended up putting on 23kgs within 3 months. However now I am back on it and have lost 4 kgs within 4 days. The difference now is that I have taken up smoking and I am not sure if it is the Duromine that is causing breathing difficulties or the cancer sticks...but I am now able to sleep for around 4 hours per night and get up without feeling tired at all.

I have also read at different sites that Duromine is like Amphetamines, however I have not noticed any of these effects.

Hi,
I first took 4omgs duromine 2 weeks ago and was completley high for the first day, i felt blurey eyed, shakey, and nervouse with a huge dry mouth.
this scared me to take it the next day so i skipped a day and took it again on the 3rd day, so i have been doing every 2nd day for the last week and a hlf until yesterday, when i took it 2 days in a row...
i feel pretty normal, still dry mouth but no where near as bad as i felt the first couple days.

Give it a couple days to adjust in your body and you will start to feel fine, i now feel good... however i am still very alert and not really tired at all and sometimes feel my heart racing.

on another note i have only ;lost 4kgs in two weeks, where as last year when i took reductil for 3 months and i lost 14kgs all i did was walked every morning for an hr that's it.

so will let you all know how i go from now on taking it every day.
ps i am not hungry at all,
cheers

Hi everyone, I'm on my second day of duromine 40 and feel fine. I haven't had any bad symptoms at all, expect for a bit of a dry mouth but thats it. I'm still in bed now feeling sleepy so I don't think I will have trouble sleeping tonight. My sister was on duromine for about 3 months and she lost heaps of weight combined with healthy eating and she just walked on the treadmill every night for 45mins. She has been off duromine for a few months now and has put none of the weight back on at all, and doesn't even exercise as much. I have put 15kgs on so don't need to loose too much but hopefully I will have it all gone in 3 months time. Good luck everyone ! By the way from the research I have done I haven't known or seen anything where people haven't lost weight on it or for that matter put weight on while on it, I think if u over exercise then that can lead to muscle gain which is heavier than fat so will def show up on the scales, its better to loose the weight doing cardio then after u have lost ur desired weight then tone up using weights ect.

i went on it about 4 years ago i lost 10kg in two months and kepted it of because you lean to eat less.. but you need to make sure your head is in the right place, if your dont have surport of loved ones around you it can be hard because you can get really bad down days. I went of it becasue of side effects affecting my home life. you need to have someone keeping check of your moods because you dont see it... sleep less nights was hard to get use to but really dont worry if you only get couple hours of sleep because thats all you need. Iv learnt this after having kids i cant sleep more then 5 hours now. Im going back on it again after having twins and i love the out come it can provide. Its not a wonder drug you do need to look at what you are eating and working out at least 3 times a week helps. Iv seen ppl go on it just to lose a few kilos and changed nothing about their life style and they put the kilos back on plus more..

Hey guys

How did Adam go with the program? What was the final outcome?

Jess how did you go?  I started the 30mg last week but stopped after 4 days - my mouth was so dry that nothing could quench my thirst and I wasn't sleeping a wink!  I woke up from my one hour "nap"that I would have at night and my tongue was all cracked from being SO dry. Please advise if this went away as I lost 3 kilos in 4 days and want to see this happen but the dry mouth thing is unbareable.

Thanks

Moreen :)

Im around 5"6 and 80kg I have been taking duramine 40mg for 4 days so far, i find it extremely hard at work to concentrate,it hits me in waves throughout the day. i feel like i'm really slow, dazed and clumsy then a few hours later im wide eyed, smiling from ear to ear,dry mouth, occaisional headaches. I find the 40mgs pretty strong, i eat one piece of fruit for breakfast and nothing else all day and feel no hunger urges what so ever.  For anyone who's considering taking it make sure u r perscribed the correct dosage for your weight because 40mg really knocks you around and affects your work performance, driving ability and concentration. Its a great way to shed kgs quick but long term there is no shortcuts to weight loss, simply get moving and be consistant with your eating habits.

Hi all. I weigh 106kg 5'9' tall. My doctor started me on 40mg straight away. I take my tablet when I get to work as I don't want to risk driving "stoned". My food cravings have reduced dramatically. I don't snack at all. I have an apple for breakfast, soup or salad for lunch & a low fat dinner & I drink 1.5litres of water in the evening. I have lost 6.5kg in 14 days. That is with no exercise whatsoever as I fractured my toe. The only side affects (if you can call them that) is bad breath, thirsty, a little light headed. That's it! This is the longest I have gone "dieting" without giving in to snacks. This stuff works as I have no craving after 15 days. Go for it people ;)

Hey everyone..

I'm a 21 year old female, height of 160cm, I weighed 54.6kg's and after using Duromine i Went to 51kg's after two days. I found it to be very successful 'obviously' in dropping the weight, however, i felt no energy, just exhausted, didn't sleep for 51 hours and felt extremely nausious. My heart is stil racing and I stopped taking it 3 days ago now.. i have now also got the flu due to my imune system being weak. It is a great product for weight loss, however it's just not worth the side effects.

Hi

I stopped smoking 15 months ago and started again November 2010 when I moved to East London. I went to the doctor as I would like to stop smoking again, but the first time I stopped on Zyban I picked up over 20kilos. I am supposed to weigh 68kg-75kg. I am currently 105kg. I have a wedding in 3 months were I am bridesmaid and want to stop smoking but also cannot aford to pick up another 20 odd kilos. Went to the doctor and asked him if I could try duromine. I asked if there were side effects and he said that I had nothing to worry about. All these posts I have read are making me too scared to try it as I dont want to pick up double the weight after I go off it. I have no sex drive currently as I feel so fat and disgusting. I have NO energy. Have a hectically stressful job and study part time so when I get home at 8pm at night I binge on anygthing i see coz I am hungry.

I am so scared to take these tablets now from reading all the negatives about it. I do drink currently enough water so I hopefully wont get headaches. Should I take them or not.... I am scared now :(  Please advise????
