heads up: your metabolism will be fine. alot of overweight people think they have bad metabolisms when in reality they are just eating too much. if you got o 115kg, your metabolism will be great becasue the more you eat the better it is, so you are actually at a really good metabolic point now. this is coming from a former anorexic who has real metabolic problems. when you get down to one slice of bread a day, that is when your body stops burning food. you are the opposite, which is great! i just wanted to make sure you know that, because it is a very common mistake. you can get your metabolism tested if you are more interested... and the best way to keep your metabolism going isn't small regular meals, because they are calories you don't need. if you excercise your metabolic rate goes up. so the more you excercise the better it is, and it stays like that when the excercise is finished. i am also on duromine (although i'm 56kg so it probably works a little differently for me than for you). the only way it works (other than boosting your metabolism by a miniscule amount) is by decreasing the amount of hunger signals your brain sends out. the idea is that you don't eat if you aren't hungry - because hunger is your body telling you that is has burnt through all the food you have already ingested. if you aren't hungry you are still burning through your last meal and you don't physically need to eat. so if you aren't loosing much, perhaps up the excercise and eat less because duromine will not burn all those cals off for you - it will only make you less hungry. actually eating less and burning more is up to you, and knowing this is the key to working with duromine. i hope you find some of this info helpful/interesting good luck with everything :D

Any kind of diet pill or supplement can cause digestive issues. It it really up to you to determine if the side-effects are worth it. Good luck...

Took my first Duromine 40mg tablet. I am 168cms tall, 102.5 kgs, 22 years old. I have lost 16kilos through healthy eating, exercise and laying off the alcohol, however have plateued at my current weight.

I work in a hospital and have spoken with numerous Dr's about Duromine, all of which have the same opinion, the drug works if you work with it. You cant take it, eat c**p, dont exercise and expect results.

It is a hunger suppresant and an energy boost, use it to your advantage, cut back on the food and go for a run. Personally i wonder how Duromine will work for me as I am an emotional eater, so find myself eating at times regardless of hunger. Willpower will need to be the key here.

Currently my prescription is for 1 month, however If results are good I will be requesting another.

Will keep readers updated on honest results/side effects.

hey guys i am on my second day of duromine 30mg, i am 31 am 184cm and weigh 110 kgs, i have decided to replace my meals with shakes (rapid loss) my weight is meant to be around 85-90kg so i have a bit to loose, i am also on lexapro which is an antidepresant. (yes they are ok to take together)

day 1* had capsule about 7.00am and had my shake,  about an hour later felt very tired but a couple of hours later i was feeling like i was on speed (was a good feeling) i had lots of energy and felt really good, i did have a dry mouth but nothing a drink didnt fix, i felt a little nervous or a bit of anxiety but i usually suffer from this anyhow. i didnt get hungry at all untill about 10.00pm which an orange satisfied me. I found it hard to fall asleep and woke up several times during the night. I WILL ONLY WEIGH MYSELF AT THE END OF EACH WEEK, SO WILL POST MY NUMBERS THEN.

day 2* was woken up at 6.30 and had capsule, had my shake about 7.30am, its now 10.30am and i feel a little dry in the mouth but the affects are less than yesterday, there are hardly any affects today. I am not hungry at all. i will keep updating my progress for you to see how it works for me using 30mg duromine and replacing meals with shakes. good luck people i cant wait to loose this weight and feel good again.

Hi, i am 28 and have been against taking duromine due to the risks involved, but the doctor has put me onto 30mg tablets, the first day and a half i didnt sleep at all and the second day on it was full of heart palputations and freaking out... but im on day 7 now and things have settled down. The only thing is i feel tired. is this normal? i have been fighting a flu so im putting it down to that but has anyone else had the tired effect rather than the awake insomnia

I am female 52 and was told from results of blood tests that my cholestral was through the roof, I had fatty spots on liver , BMI 35 and if I did not loose weight I would more than likely have a heart attack!! I had been cutting down at this point already and had lost 7 kg in about 5 months start weight was 95 at heaviest. I love food especially indian, Chinese and Thai and hated any form of exercise especially gym!, I have been on 30mg for 8 weeks, have gone from 88 kg down to 79 in that time. My BMI is now down to30 I have only had the odd taste in mouth and sometimes find it hard to get to sleep also only go to the toilet every 3 or 4 days . Go to the gym approx. 3/4 times a week and have just bought a bike which I go on the weekends for an or so. Also an excellent purchase was a Polar F 60 heart monitor watch, it tells me everything, heart rate, calories used, how to to exercise to lose fat and how much has been fat burned etc. I do not know how some people can loose 5 kg a week ??? Unless starving themselves and exercising 12hours away!,, I also do not feel euphoric or feel overly energetic. I am eating cereal or 1 boiled/poached egg with 1 whole grain toast, spinach and mushrooms. Apple and strawberries and 5 almonds during day and grilled fish', beans/lentils veggies for dinner. No fats or red meat, sweets or deserts.

hi girls I just wanted to say if you do start duromine start at 15mg and then go up month by months, because as soon as you body gets use to it your weight loss will stall this comes from someone who has lost 45kg on it and dont expect to loose it all in a month cause that is unrealistic and unhealthy.

I think you're letting your desperation turn into anger. Don't think of it as miracle worker, or you'll be discouraged to take it when you find that it doesn't work as fast as you'd expect it to. I've been on it for 4 days now, have heaps of energy but do little to exercise. Changed that by taking walks and doing extra things around the house and work, so hopefully I can see results soon. Hope it helped :)

Hey everyone.

Found this thread helpful. I'm 20 and my starting weight was 105kg. I was orginally put on 30mg however i felt no benefits and my appetite was still the same. I started 40mg 3 days ago and it's been an interesting experience. I've cut down on eating to almost 50% of my orginal diet and don't feel hungry and i've passed the 2 day milestone that i always have a problem with when attempting every diet under the sun.

I've noticed that my energy levels aren't over the top like some people's in this thread however i do sometimes have light headedness and a fast heart rate. Other than that, i've been going on 40 minute runs every afternoon after work and do more around the house.

Hopefully it will continue like this and i can get some real results!

Hi Everyone

I have been on duromine before- early lasy year and it worked wonders. I just made the mistake of not weighing before and after- i say it worked wonder because i could fit into clothes that never used to fit. I am back on it this year as I need to shed another 10-15kg and i will be a happy sexy lady again- wish it took away the cellulite as well.

I will be back again to give you an upate - i currently weigh 88.5 and hopefully by end april i will be in the 70's- 79 or 78 i hope, the goal is to be 75. I am 1.65cm tall- i have a nice body shape- JUST HUMANGOUS arms that frustrate the leaving sh*t out of me.. :-)
