Ya I am also on duramine .no doubt I am reducing weight but not 5 to 10 kg a week.some people r just kidding .

4 weeks ago I was perscribed Duromine 30mg from my Doctor, months after typical methods of losing weight not working, I have been tracking all of my excersise and food intake not long after the birth of my second child. Start weight was 83kg. During my last pregnancy I developed GD (gestational diabetes) and put on 30kg (I previously weighed 56kg prior to the birth of my second child), I managed to lose 7kg after three months and then got struck down with RRV (ross river virus) which I am still dealing with for the past 5 months, it has been a very nasty case and that 7kg came straight back again, like it had never even left. My Doctor ran some tests and ruled out thyroid issues and diabetes. Despite following my diet from a diatition and doing 1hr excersise every day, ontop of a physically demanding job which I work at 6 days a week more often than not, and take care of household duties, as well as running after two young boys every day, so I am active I have had no results; the 30mg helps me get through every day as a normal person not suffering RRV, however late at night and early morning I am very fatigued and in a lot of pain from RRV. I eat three balanced meals a day with either fruit or nuts as a snack inbetween, and only drink water, green & peppermint tea, and milk in my cerial. My doctor and I were shocked to see that I had gained after my first month on Duromine I weighed in yesterday at 85kg, I was absolutly crushed, it is so frustraiting working so hard and nothing changing. So my Doctor decided to give me a 40mg dose instead to see if that works, apparently when my dose changes in two days I'll only experience the side affects I got when I first started the 30mg, which were really minimal, thankfully. If the 40mg doesn't work I am guessing that there'll be more indepth tests as to why I am not losing weight. Because there's absolutly no logical reason for me not to be losing weight and it is heartbreaking being treated like I just sit on the couch all day and stuff my face full of food, when I do the opposite. Even at work the clietel I deal with had noticed the massive gain when I returned from Maternity leave 4 months ago suggesting that I stop putting food in my mouth and go for a run, when I left work I cried and cried and cried. Obviously it's really uncommon for people to gain on Duromine. I just hope the 40mg helps me over the next 4 weeks. My youngest is now 13 months old.

Okay if you think a pill will get you into shape them you're going to be greatly disappointed! Who am I to say this and on what grounds do i base this? Well I'm 30, a Personal Trainer, been fat once, now I'm shredded at sub 10% body fat.
The only way and I mean the ONLY WAY you will lose weight and become a 'new you' is if you completely change how you eat and look at food. Taking a pill like Duromine make you lose weight but what happens when you stop taking it and you're still eating that bag of ships, chocolate or that bottle of Coke?
If you are serious about getting into shape then you have to be even more serious about what you eat, no amount of pills can change the long term affect of what incorrect eating will do to your body.
So no her comes my gift to anyone who is reading my post, I'll tell you how to eat to look like a fitness model, but before I do it isn't easy and you have to eat like this for most of your life, but think about it, what do you really want?!

4 to 6 meal a day

Every meal must have a quality source of protein like, lean beef, chicken breast, turkey breast, fish, or eggs

THEN - add vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, lentils, carrot or pretty much any green leafy vegetables. Try to avoid potatoes and pumpkin as they are high in carbs and do cause a high insulin spike.

THEN - and now this is the hard part, meat can only be grilled and favor using either herbs and spices or lemon juice or both. Yes food doesn't taste the best with out bbq sauce or any other sugar based flavoring but believe me, when you have a rock hard 6 pak or that firm tight butt, you will be most joyed that you didn't put sauce on your food.

Tips: you should never go hungry and you can eat a meal like I described above as often as you need to but my rule of thumb is if you feel hungry 2hrs after eating then you should increase your meal size, also if you don't feel hungry 3-4hrs after eating then you should decrease your meal sizes. I also recommend taking a quality multivitamin, ONLY DRINK WATER, can have coffee but if you use sugar in it then don't expect to lose weight for that day-SERIOUSLY!!

Now what I've told you is no secret but on the other hand it is. Every fitness model with the abs on the front page know this is how to eat ( and I'm one ) but all those money sucking demons who want to sell you some magic pill or powder or God knows what else don't tell you this so they can sell you something so they can get your money. I've been in the fitness industry for almost a decade and I'm honestly telling you this is the only way to get the weight under control and to look as sexy as you can be.
I hope that from this moment on you are on the road to being the best version of you, I wish you all the best on your journey and don't give up, even if you stuff up one day or one week just get back to doing things right!

I'm on duromine 40mg and have lost 10kg in 2 weeks but my hunger cut down completely I only eat one meal a day sometimes 2 if I remember I don't excerise I eat normal food don't watch what I eat while I'm on them I was 116kg now I'm 93kg I've just started back on them after a months break you do get use to them I was worried when I stopped but to say I didn't put much weight back on which I was surprised

Good luck to you. I start mine tomorrow morning.

I stacked on a nice 8kgs in 2 months after stopping smoking. Now I have that under sontrol I need to get the weight under control too.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let people know about my experience. When I was 16 my mother tried Duromine, she turned into a different person. My mum was so happy and caring and she turned into a b***h and we had a family intervention to get her to stop and we had to fight her to flush the capsules down the toilet. However my experience was totally different. I started Duromine I think it was 15mg (lowest dose) in 2009 I also was not on any other medication besides a multivitamin per day. I was only 19 and weighed almost 70kg. I had so much energy after taking the capsules all the time and would try to relax to get to sleep but I definitely slept a lot less. During this time my relationships grew stronger and I grew so much more confident! I grew the courage to leave my abusive husband and had the best year of my life. I lost 9kg in total in 6 weeks and I kept it off until last year as I am now back to 69kg but I think keeping the weight off for over 5 years is good!! It was the best decision I made. However I did try recently again and it did not work at all so I have upped my dose to 40mg and I will start tomorrow and I will let you know how I go! I wouldn't advise everyone to take it because everyone is so different but if you do try I wouldn't use it in conjunction with anti-depressants or strong meds I think a lot of peoples problems with this is that they don't feel hungry so they stop eating altogether, this causes the body to store fat in SOME cases. My diet was : Breakfast everyday I had an up and go. Lunch was one banana and 2 mandarins and dinner I had a small bowl of whatever was cooking eg: steak and salad or pasta or anything in small portions! I never forgot to eat and I drank a good 2 litres of water per day which helped massively. You definitely can feel shaky so I say channel your energy into something and take some you time! I scrubbed my entire floor of my house on my hands and knees (my house had never been cleaner because of all this energy and I also did not crave alcohol which can be a big problem for most. I went from drinking 1+ bottles of wine a night to Nothing. I love hearing peoples results so keep posting! Ps. I also decided not to tell a soul about it as a lot of people including my partner were against it and involving them would make it more stressful but each to their own. x

It is absolutely true you can loose 5kgthe first week. I just finished my 1 month on duromine 30 mg. The first week I lost 5.1 kgs,second week, 1.3kgs and third and 4th week another 1.3 kgs. I was 106.kgs before duromine and now I am 98.4kg. 1 am so happy with the weight loss so far . I exercise an hour 5-6 days a week. Low carbon diet and I drink at least a litre a day of water. I sweet a lot on duromine and feels a lot of energy. I clean the house quite often than when I was not on duromine. I will be starting the second month , Monday or Tuesday to enable me burn more. I will actually take it for 3 months. . I eat more often but small meals and more on healthy side. I will actually keep you informed about my progress as soon as I am on it.

Hi I'm troy I've got my prescription today to start duromines 30mg I'm weighing in at 109kg I've tried everything thing to try get back my old body but seems to hard to get it back now at 32 years old so I've heard about these duromines and gonna give them a try but then you hear about all these risk with your heart so hopefully I have a good chance at being back to my old body
