I am now taking Duromine also. 20mg every other day but still works a treat. I have been given a script for 40mg daily as my only side effect is mild sleep disruption but with a 65 year old prostrate i get that anyway. Diet suggestion. I have adapted a diet that works for me. No animal protein every other day. On days I have meat only chicken, turkey or fish as I have Hemochromtosis so I have to regulate iron intake. Breskfast porridge or baked beans on toast. Sometimes I pig out on oven baked potatoes, including sweet potatoes, zucchinis, maybe shrooms, okra and eggplant, couliflower. I cook enough for several meals and only use a little olive oil. For lunch I like a vegegatable curry or salad. Evening meal home made vegetable or chicken or fish soup. Laksa works well with vegetables.

Female 41 guest and i weigh 80kg. I have taken Duromine 30mg in the past and not exerised more than usual. Did have the sleepless first 2 nights but that soon returned to normal.occasionally had the racing heart beat but learnt to relax and drink plenty of water as i found my mouth dry and tingling on the tip og my tongue. One packet and i lost 11 kilos. I wasnt very hungry but i do admit that i did not avoid carbs during this period. Without changing my lifestyle the kilos eventually returned especially during the winter months and my stay at the desk office job. I reccomend taking daily 30min walks or doing 100 laps of your house every day. One year later...this is day one of the 40mg and im doing things differently this time. Wish me luck.

The huge kg losses come in to play when you alter your diet completely. I combined duromine with a low carb diet, stopped eating sugar, bread and highly processed foods, clean eating basically, and it worked wonders !! If sugar and refined foods are still present in your diet after you finish with the duromine, then the cravings will also be back with avengence.
That's just my experience.

At 54 kgs there was absolutely NO need for you to take this medication. It's for people who are obese and are having a hard time to shift weight. Not for a skinny little b***h to drop some kgs before a f*****g music festival.

You're building muscle by hitting the treadmill with all that energy .,... muscle weighs more than fat. Also, all people are different, so while both of you have very slow metabolisms, someone else might kick-start it and it goes off and does amazingly crazy wonderful things. Trust me, my metabolism sucks but my brother's rocks ... in 1 month he lost 18 kilos. Down 30 in 2 months. Meanwhile ... this knob typing, takes a year to lose 10! Sucks, but it's life... and at least it's a loss.

I am also on duromine... i weighed my self first thing in the morning and weighed 86.7 then weighed myself at night and was 87.1 when i spoke to my doctor he said to weigh myself in the morning due to the fact throughout the day u are drinking water etc and having small meals so u will NOT get a acurrate reading i have been on duromine for 10 days now and have lost 5.6kg thanks to duromine and the fact it is giving me energy because as a single mum of a 4 yr old and a 2yr old i run out of steam at about 3pm and that was without exercise now i exercise everyday for 40 mins and twice a week i also do a hr session of boxing.... its not impossible at all its only impossible if u dnt try

I was on Duromine 40 for 3.5 weeks with only 2kg weight loss, hunger did not subside, i was eating clean and going to the gym 4 days a week.. Sleep was not great the first 2 days but after that was fine, dry mouth, loads of energy and felt fine.. but weight loss and all of the hard work and money felt like a waste of time..

Your local GP is the only place you can get it from, its a script only and its about $120 per month

I lost 23 kilos in 10 weeks. I was 112 kilos & now I'm 89 kilos. I was swimming 12 kilos a week to Start with & then I plateauld at 102 kilos. Then I started to use use Duromaine 30 mgs , and I would take it at 11 o'clock, not breakfast time, so it would last longer. Then I started doing gym work and it is very important what exercises you do !!!........I would do 35 minutes on a cross training machine with the arm blaster amp as well. About 6 miles.
Then for my oblicks, I would use the 10kg medicine ball from right to left. I do 5 reps of 20. Sitting on the floor with your feet against the wall. Then do some weights, to build up your biceps.
Very important to mix up your routine !!!
Last I would finish with 5× 20 reps of planks on a mat. Good for your core muscles. Breath in & out 20 times and rest for a minute. A plank is when you rest on your lower arms out straight and have a straight back too. Hold that position for 20 breaths.

Now I swim 2 kilometers in the pool after all that.

Now diet........A small helping of rolled oates for breakfast, no juices made from concentrates.Eat 5 Brazil nuts a day, 23 almonds , walnuts and raw pistachio nuts but do not eat too many. !!!!
Have nuts for lunch or skip lunch.. Do not eat between meals and the Duromine will take your appetite . Don't eat red meat........Eat grilled chicken thigh and broccoli, also Brussel spouts & cauliflower. Also eat Atlantic salmon and Veg. Put the salmon in foil with lime juice and olive oil spread . Then steam in oven...........

Mix your diet up, some times I have crusits ( vita wheats) with cheese turkey and a quarter of an avocado on top.
My secret tip is to have 3 desert spoons of Xtra virgin olive oil ( cold pressed only )at breakfast,
My Doctor gave me another script of 40 MG duromine, to take off my last 4 kilos.

Duromine is an amphitinine drug ( speed or goee) but it can make you impotent while you use it .........but goes away when you stop ìt.......Good luck it works, use your will power too !!!!

Actually, it's been the opposite for me. I have ostio arithritis through most of my body as a result of a hard working tradesman. Had to retire at 55 and go on the pension. As a result of this, my children lost all respect for me( recon I'm faking it) My self esteem plummeted, developed eating disorders and depression. Built walls around all my friends and kept to myself.
This is the third day of taking Duromine 40 have lost 2kg in 2 days and feel the opposite. Thinking of contacting my old friends again and my self esteem is returning with a positive attitude again.
My goal is to drop from 112.4ks down to 94ish before winter sets in.
This is the first time that I have ever taken drugs to assist in loosing weight and as I'm now 60 years old and have trouble walking, I'm looking for all the help I can get:~))
Stay strong. Stay positive. The rest will naturally fall into place.

Hi Tasha I can sympathize with you about putting on weight after you stopped smoking. I am 50yrs old & in 2014 I was a very heavy smoker (50 a day). My sisters payed $400 for me to see a hypnotist & it was the best money they ever spent. I stopped smoking on the 05/04/2014 & 2 weeks later I fractured my back & couldn't work for 12 weeks. I went from already overweight at 96kgs to now at 114kgs.
I am about to start taking Duromine 30mgs & hope this will help improve my life. I aslo was told by my doctor that I am bordeline for diabetes if I don't change my lifestyle I will need to go on tablets. So today I am now a non smoker & feel much better & healthier for it. I to was a sceptic about the hypnotherapy but it really did work forme.

I have taken this tablet it only works and kicks me for about 7 - 10 days I get sooo happy as I do looses 2 - 3 kgs then the tablet wears out then bang goes my will power and back to bad eating. I am so discussed with myself as nothing works out go for me. I am just a big fat pig with no support just a fat pig I just hate myself
