For nearly the past week or so, my vagina has been buzzing or humming.
There is no pain, odor, or discharge associated. It just started buzzing. This has never happened to me before. I am in my mid-40's, am single, and not sexually active for nearly the last 3 weeks. It buzzes off and on all day long. Every few seconds it will start buzzing for any amount of time....at least 10 seconds and longer.

Today, it stopped buzzing for the longest period of time...about 1/2 hour, but it started buzzing again....

I don't use sexual aids of any kind....

I feel really embarrassed, but I am curious as to what is going on....

Hello RoniJo,

I am experiencing something similar in my lower left obdomen. It seems to radiate down into the left leg a little. I was trying to find information on the web before calling the doctor and ran across your post here. There is no pain, just a vague feeling of concern, since this hasn't happened before. My age is 64 and I've been working fairly hard in the yard and around the house lately. I wonder if it's related?

Hi I'm glad to see this post because i AM DOING THE SAME THING. i'M ALSO IN MY MID 40s. i THOUGHT i WAS SITTING ON A CELL PHONE THAT WAS ON VIBRATE. i ASK my dr. and she said it was a nerve switching, due to back problems. I recently strained my back and she said it will stop.

I am 64 and it is also happening to me. I have a buzzing or vibration that lasts

a few seconds in the public area. It lasts for a few seconds and then happens

again a few minutes later. This continues all the time. I have no idea what it is.

Could it be a nerve that is activated?

Relax guys, it is just something that happens to some people. I got the feeling one night and got freaked out thinking I was lying on my phone. When I realized that was my body I started to do research. We are fine. It is not painful, just strange and kind of interesting.

Yes! We're not crazy. I spent weeks looking down thinking it was my phone on vibrate between my legs (a place I never put my phone). It's been all day for days. Trying to limit caffeine to see if that works. I have been under a lot of stress and that may be it. Also I switched to sitting on a yoga ball at my office job because my chair was making my body unhealthy. Thought the extra pressure from the ball triggered a nerve... It's totally annoying and real.
