I would like to say, that I have struggled with my weight in my teen years, I am now 20...I am 5'7 and weigh 135. My BMI level is at exactly 21.5 which is great! My fix? I take a multi vitamin,a B Complex vitamin and drink a lot of water. I also like to put cucumbers in my water which gives it a great fresh taste (it is also a myth that cucumber water helps shed calories not sure if its true) you can also try putting fruit in your water if you are not the type that likes to drink water regularly. I eat normally, yet in proportion. My regular meal is a small bowl of cereal in the morning, then I walk a good 15 minutes to school, through out the day I will have a yogurt, granola bar or a doughnut on a good day :-) . Afterwards, I eat celery with peanut butter. I would also like to add, peanut butter is GREAT! ITS OKAY TO EAT! It doooesss say it contains a lot of fat yet this is an HDL fat, which is okay for you body, you must stay away from LDL fats, Sat.Fat etc. If you are concerned about being healthy, go to your local book store and grab a nutrition book, learn about the vitamins,minerals foods that are going into your system. Before I started taking multi vitamins B12,B6 etc. I weighed 155 at 5'7 at 18... its not terrible but I was not healthy and my BMI was at a 25. That is just in the catagory of overweight. Two years before this when I was 16, I weight 119 at 5'7 my BMI was a 18.6 which I was on the verge of being anerexic, I looked and felt tired, my face was pale, my breasts were sagging and I suffered from depression. Believe me, it is not okay to feel this way just to look supper model thin. It is just not right. So, I have a top 10 things to do list to be Healthy and Happy
1. Drink a lot of fluids
2 Exercise on a daily basis, Walking/Jogging is the BEST, also Pilates&Yoga (your muscles NEED oxygen!)
3. Take a multi vitamin everyday (I take extra boost of Bcomplex vitamin because I have a slow metabolism and it helps the process)
4. Avoid CRASH DIETS/MEDIA/PILLS, these are all evil! They make you feel like sh*t; to put it bluntly.
5. Look in the mirror and smile at yourself! You are BEAUTIFUL! I am not being a phony when I say this. This really does help! No one is gonna hold your hand in this world, you gotta have your own back, give yourself a kick in the ASS! You can't begin to love others and others can't begin to love you until you love yourself!

6. Research! Don't just assume something is good for your body until you actually know what it is your consuming. (example. something that says FAT FREE. It's TERRIBLE! You will normally see 0g Sugar? Well, what do you think they replace that sugar with hmm? Yeah, exactly! (oh im not gonna tell you the answer go look it up) If you do want to be self conscious and watch your weight look out for "less fat" "Non-Hydrogenized" etc.

7. Repete' -Media. Avoid MEDIA! Why do we automatically just assume we must look like super models that are on TV? Women and Men come in all different forms,shapes and sizes. Are you really going to listen to what a magazine/ TV tells you? Look, your half way up the mountain and there's always going to be someone on top of the mountain, and someone at the bottom of the mountain. Don't beat yourself up, and some peoples mountains are hills compared to others, we all have our own goals and perceptions.

8. Don't obsess. People spend way too much time on adding up calories, visiting the scale more than their families, taking pills, purging, making themselves sick, studying themselves in the mirror, stressing over APPEARANCE STOP! Take a deep breath, read a novel, listen to music, go outside and enjoy the scenery,once again LISTEN TO MUSIC (im a music student and it's a great escape let me tell you!) spend time with family/friends, spend time on a hobby you enjoy doing.

9. Make approachable, realistic goals for yourself. (This doesn't have to be a weight goal, this can be anything)

10. Take your own advice, instead of listening to me babble on here, or others...you also have to....listen to yourself...be your best friend and have complete confidence and control of yourself. Drive. Ambition. Love. Laughter. Happiness. Live.

Okay ; my name is ariana ; and i weight 150 pounds. :( my friends say im just curvy but i am fat and i feel fat im ashammed to be in my own skin. :cry: my eating habbits are so natuarl i cant help it. i did sports but it didnt help. i took water pills beacuse they make u loose body water but i gianed weight. i cant take it anymore. i'm to scared to stick my finger down my thout to puke ; :( and i dont know what to do ; i just wish i was at least twenty pounds lighter.

Here's some advice: stay active. Always be doing something. I'm 17 . 5'1 at 102 pounds, all I do is constantly stay active(walking, doing something,), and I eat constantly throughout the day (but in small amounts) I think it keeps up my metabolism going
When I was younger though I was 4'11 and at 130 :/
But one thing that REALLY got me to lose weight was play DDR (Dance dance revolution) at the arcades :-) yknow, the game where you step on the arrows..not joking! It's kinda embarrassing to play it at first so for your first time go when no one else is at the arcade or buy a dance pad and a game cd for home.. It's not only healthy but it's super fun!!

Another thing that help me lose weight was eating lots oatmeal and other stuff with lots of fiber that gets you running to the bathroom :-P
Heh.. Also that weight on you can also be water weight, if you drink a whole lot of fluids throughout the day believe it or not, it can put some weight on you

Hi Ariana, I have been overweight for roughly 3 years now and it's not up until recently that I've decided to do something about it. I had to make the commitment to change myself. When I had first started I was at 241 lbs and now 4 months later I'm at 217lbs. The one thing that someone had suggested for me to use is this all natural diet pill called Slim 9. I was definitely skeptical about it when I had first heard of the idea but I decided to at least look it up. I had read several ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed and thought I'd give it a try. Like I said, here I am looking and feeling better about myself more than I have in the past 3 years. The diet pills will NOT lose the weight for you but if you can commit to exercise and eating healthy, the pills will help you achieve your goal. hello april. omg i feel your pain. im 5'3 144 lbs. im so disgusted with myself its not funny and on top of it all, my husband has called me fat everyday for the last three yrs. thats will do a number on you. ive been bulimic for about 6 years now. and thats not working anymore either. idk what to do either. ill try the water diet next i guess. only advice i have is keep plugging along. dont give up

i am 154lb and i'm 5'7' this summer and spring i wanna join swimming but i need to lose weight fast and i need a good workout plan someone plz help me i been called fal before and i need help.... i don't look as fat but when i put on a swim suit you see why i need help! plz someone tell me a fast way to get rid of it... and if its unheathly tell me how so my parents don't find out im doing somthing bad someone plz help!

Losing 30 LBS in 3 weeks

To Loss Weight you are going to change your eating habits.

You will Eat
Multivitamin pill first thing.

8 am               2 Egg Whites

10:30 pm        1 Banana

1 pm               1 Can of Spinach

3:30 pm          1 fat free yogurt < 100 calories

6 pm               1 can of tuna fish

8:30 pm          8 Sticks of Asparagus

You will change your exercising habits.

Do this 5 times in a day

You will go out for a walk, this walking circle should be 3 miles long. You will run as fast as you can till you feel like you are going to die. Then you will walk till you can breath again. Then you are going to fake jog, your steps will be as though you are walking but your arms must move as though you are still Jogging. When you catch your breath Run as fast as you can again.

Day 1 will suck
So will day 2
So will day 3
So will day 4
So will day 5
So will day 6
So will day 7
So will day 8
So will day 9
This day will be better

You will lose 1.4 lbs a day

I did this and lost 30 LBS in 3 weeks.

Warning, after stopping this diet. You will feel extremely tired if you eat a large meal, this will continue till you gain your weight back.

ok so im 15... i guess im going through the exact same thing... i live on usually around 200-300 calories a day small portions of carbs and vegtables mostly celery. and it works... i usually lose around 2-4 kilos a week...
i get really paranoid after eating junk so i work that off for hours...
alongside i excercise cardio every day..
it takes a couple of months to get used to but its worth it...
though i am really obsessed... i have dropped alot but its still not enough... just dont let it run your life cause diets can do that :)

one thing i've actually been told is that you can tell how slow your metabolism is by how many times you poop a day. I know it sounds weird, but it's actually a good way to lose weight. go for the water/juice diet, but instead of eating random foods in between, do this.
For breakfast, drink a cup of milk or juice or whatever. drink tons of water between breakfast and lunch.

for lunch, have just a baked sweet potato, skin on, a little salt.

for dinner, have something small, like a salad.

it's ridiculous how hard it is to lose weight, but if you think there's something wrong with your metabolism/thyroid, i'd get that checked out.

bulimia, laxatives, and adderal have all helped me lose some of my weight.

I throw up when i get too full, i take laxatives WAY before i eat so it doesn't get digested all the way and the adderall suppresses my appetite while also giving me energy. I do all of that plus go to the gym 5 days a week and i'm looking into diet pills to see if it could help. FYI if you choose bulimia which i don't reccommend brush your teeth obsessively.

I LOST 20LB's in 2 1/2 weeks!  To starts... I wasn't over weight I am 6foot tall and at the time weighed 214. I got down to 194 in 2.5 weeks.

How??? It wasn't easy, I bought tons of chicken noodle soup, tons of vegitable soup and lots of CHICKEN!!! my daily eating routine was as follows...In the morning I waited until my hunger pains were really bad and then after about 30 minutes the pain would disapere and I would eat only after it returned for the second time... After that I would eat only after enduring hunger pains for as long as I could... When I did eat I ate 1 can of soup or 1 breats of baked chicken or fish.  I basically starved myself until I felt kind of dizzy or tired and then I'd fuel my body. I spent a lot of time laying around due to exhaustion and I slept about 10 hours a night. I drank tons of water and tried to work out when I could... I don't suggest it. I did it as a $100 wager and when I got done I was RIPPED! so It sucked for 2 and a half weeks but after it was all said and done I won $100 and a brand new body. I imagine if you're overwhieght a good bit you will loose more even quicker... It's not healthy and takes a ton of discipline but after about a week you get used to it and actually feel good, and the changes motivate you to continue. I admit... I did cheat once or twice but i always made it up with exercise and I never got off the horrible crash diet until I lost the 20LB's... BTW the other guy who bet me only lost 9... I guess he didn't try as hard.. SO here I am 8 months later and I'm back to 214... I looked great for a long time and ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted but now the fats back so I'm doing it again... Lost 5 LBS since Friday... It's tuesday now so... I'm on track!  Now excuse me, there's a chicken breats in the oven waiting for me.

Its not healthy, and you can start to have health problems, like lack of energy. the best way is to do it is how Jeff said it, i tried it and i lost 21 pounds in two weeks!

I am so depressed, in fact I stumbled upon this website because I am OBESE and I need to loose weight. I am 16 years old and I weight 252 Pounds. ! This is affecting my grades and absolutely everthing in my life. I just missed my junior prom because of my insecurities and I want to loose weight before my senior prom.. I want to finally fit in with people my age. I feel so depressed !
