I have a pulsing on the front part of the nose, what is that?

The same thing happened to me just a while ago and it lasted for about an hour.
The left side of my nose was twitching and it was the same as the experience of those who had left-side twitching.

For me it was going for an hour and when I was about to look at it in the mirror it went away. I was seated when I experience it and I walked for about 20 seconds to the washroom, When I went back to my seat, the twitching started again and after 20 minutes I tried to breathed properly and deeply, I did it for just 30 seconds and I noticed that the twitching stopped. I was not convince, I stood up and drank a cup of water and continued the breathing exercise.
It's been 45 minutes now and no twitching since then.

It's been happening for about a week. Same as the other posts. It seems to twitch at random intervals. It's not strong enough to see. And I can't really feel the twitch with my finger. I can't think of any changes in my routine or circumstances that would bring on anything like this. I just want to know what it is, it's not really interferring with my life...it's just weird.

I am truly surprised that nobody seems to know what is causing this! Just wondering, people who have twitches on the left side of your noses, are you right handed?

I wouldn't be surprised if the tics were related to anxiety. It is common for people to be anxious without ever taking note of it; we are always so preoccupied with living our lives that we don't often think about how we feel. I'd say we should have a deep look into ourselves and work out whether we are worried or stressed by ANYTHING, and whether there is anything we can do to help relieve that stress. If not, I guess we'll just have to deal with nose twitches!

Do keep this thread going, it's really interesting to see how many people have this problem!

Happened to me, right after I drank a cup of coffee sweetened with stevia. Thanks to this comment, now I know what causes it! thanks, it's a relief!

Greetings.
Nasal twitching is not a serious condition and typically results from excessive fatigue or stress. sometimes its result of a mild allergic reaction(sensitive to Pollens (tree, grass, and weed,House dust mites ,pets) external envioment(new place ), surrounding temperature(ecessive cold, heat)
but i few cases it can be proir to certaiin inflamations of the nasal sunus.

if physiological then it will be gone withing few minutes,
if its an allergic condition i suggest you to move away from the source(allergent).and have proper anti-allergic treatment.

but if it continues and you find cloggong and discharge from the noasal cavity i suggest you to visit you doctor as in this case it may be start of some bacterial/viral infections.
try to rinse gently the nsal cavity with lukewarm water without forcefull blowouts.this might help.

while pulsation in the nasal cavity is not often observed, and infections or any changes in the blood pressure may also trigger this.

I've just read that anything that irritates nerve endings in the nose can cause tingling.hyperventilation is one of the most common causes of this , so it could be due to over breathing through your nose when working out. Other causes can include allergies. Also when we're stressed we can often take deep breathes thru our nose to calm ourselves down and over breathing thru panic attacks. I think this may be the case for me as I have recently started running and have to take deep breathes to get my heart rate back to normal .

Good morning. I'm sitting here reading all of the posts and it appears that many are having similar symptoms. I don't think it's anything serious. I've been researching this on my own now for about 2 years in addition to being seen by physicians.

I've noticed a sensation or twitching in the nose too. It's more of an intense, all of a sudden movement. Like when a course nose hair is too long and tickles the inside of your nose way in the back. (The younger 20-somethings may not have experienced this yet. An over abundance of body hair comes with age.) I've also noticed a movement type sensation in my front sinus area and across my forehead. My eyes, ears and mouth itch and my eyelids twitch. I have headaches and my skin all over is itchy at times. As the infection continues you will notice sores.

I am 50+ and have been very healthy throughout my lifetime. I've never had a problem with allergies so the nasal sinus type symptoms (drainage, stuffed up feeling and now a wanting to clean my nose all the time) are new to me. I never really paid much attention to other allergy sufferers until now. I have noticed too that my family, children and adults, are having the same symptoms.

My take is that it's something as simple as round worms. If you research, you'll find they are everywhere. It sounds gross, I know. Think about it though. We treat our domestic animals for them on a monthly basis. Where do our animals get them? They are in the ground, they are on food we consume. They are passed along via contact with other people. This is just one parasite that infects us at any given time.

I've seen many suggestions about pumpkin seeds and how they help with insomnia. The reason is because the seeds are disrupting the parasitic cycle. Many of the herbs that you can buy off the shelf have a combination of black walnut hull, pumpkin seed, clove flower bud and artemesia. All of these together kill the parasite and it's cycle naturally. If you went to the doctors office, started taking a prescription, felt worse and then stopped taking it, it's because the drug is working. It's not like taking an antibiotic that immediately makes you feel better. In order to get rid of the parasite, you have to detox. You feel worse at first, but eventually start to feel better because they are leaving your system.

The frustration related on this thread is understandable. I don't know if there is a secret handshake the doctors learn, but I have a hard time believing that so many of them diagnosis the same symptoms we are all describing as stress related. I think they know what's going on and don't say. They are happy to treat your symptoms rather than solve the problem. Stress does play a part because your symptoms will get worse when your immune system is down. And exercise helps too because it helps to push toxins from your body. Symptoms can and do resolve on their own but usually will return at some point.

My experience has been to do what all the health experts say, plenty of rest, lots of water, good diet and moderate exercise. In addition, take a good multivitamin with some green superfood type herbs. Turmeric, curcumin, onion and garlic are natural detox foods. Olive leaf extract is good too as it creates an unsavory atmosphere that the parasite doesn't like. Apple cider vinegar helps regulate the gut as well as probiotics. Everyone needs a good probiotic! (Purchase at a health food store rather than those advertised on television.) Most people have to rely on the foods we buy at the grocery store and there is so much bad stuff being sold as food these days. And you probably know by now that the fast food places offer inferior products. It's not like years ago when I was a kid. If you eat the traditional American diet, you will need more nutrients.

I hope this info helps some. I know I feel better when I stick to a good regimen. I do have some twitching that is linked to nerve damage. (I take a neuro tincture when it flairs up.) I believe this will happen to all as we age. I think too that having to deal with this type of health issue will be an ongoing lifelong struggle. We are constantly bombarded with germ-type elements.
