My Guess is that it is the same as eyelid twitching that I get when I am tired. It is mainly due to Magnesium depletion and tiredness. The smaller muscles in the body are affected first. The reason I am looking though is because I have only just started statins a couplke of weeks ago, and both my eyelid AND nose is twitching like mad. I have heard statins cause muscle problems, so am having a good "Google" to see if this is whats happening.
If none of you are on statins, I could pretty surely say it is either tiredness or Magnesium deficiency.
I have no cold symptoms, no pain, no itching, just this constant pulsing and it is driving me mad, no one can see it
Well, as soon as the statins were out of my system, this nose and eye twitching stopped, as I could keep the magnesium in my system once more! :-) I do suggest that magnesium citrate will help any small muscle spasms if taken for at least a couple of weeks at 300mg a day.

Hi,
This is because of increase flow of blood into the nasal blood vessels during panic attacks/anxiety/anger. This is a normal phenomenon, no need to worry.

Funny you should say that. Would that be a reason that I sneeze when I am stressed,??
Hi pera,
I find your comments to be very interesting. Just yesterday after a visit to my doctor who told me I had low potassium and gave me a list of foods to increase that in my diet, I woke up last night with a pulsing at the bridge of my right nose. I could see it in the mirror and was quite concerned. I did not make any connection to the potassium thing but now reading your comments I realize that that along with stress which I have been experiencing over the past couple of month, these could well be the cause, in my case anyway.
So far today, I have not felt it.
Hey guys, I've been experiencing the same thing too. I found this online and I think it's more prevalent in people experiencing stress or anxiety. It may be due to poor intake of oxygen as well. Mindful breathing exercises should help

I have also been having an odd twitching of something on my nose. I can sometimes see it in my peripheall as you look at your nose (making cross eyes). I can see my skin sort of twitching. It's very annoying too. It never happens when I'm asleep I assume only because it doesn't happen in the morning. It normally only start happening during the afternoon. Its 3:52 PM as I type this now and it's happening. It's never done it until just a few months ago from (December 2014).
Just chiming in. Have had this problem for about 2 weeks. I actually had a mild sinus infection/head cold recently.. as it began to go away, i think it spread awhile.. like for a few days my eye had a twitch.. then that stopped.. now my nose is twitching.. i just think its the infection moving around my face and eventually going away. i find that nothing really makes it go away.. ive tried deep breathing, relaxing, massging my nose lol. it does eventually go away. Btw as I type my eyebrow is twitching. Jesus!
Same here! Also left side! WHY!!
