numbness in body hands,body,legs and feet?

I've been experiencing numbness as well. It all started about about a week ago. After eating if I close my eyes I'm out like a rock. While sleeping if I wake up my either one, two or all my limbs feel like blood has been cut off to them. My limbs have a tingly sensation - even to the point of being painful. Both Strange and Scary feelings - Now I'm scared to fall a sleep. I woke up the other day not being able to feel my legs for about 10 minutes, till the blood rushed in. I'm in a self employed stressful IT profession and the press with stories of this economy is not helping. I will go to the doctor and repost findings.

Just wanted to say that maybe you should look into Aspartame Poisoning. If you drik a lot of diet pop or consume aspartame, you could be poisoned. Aspartame poisoning will mimick alot of diseases. This might be something to consider.

I have numbness in my hands & feet. Numbness in my feet is so irritating that i am not able to wear shoes. I drive without shoes & don't wear shoes in office also. It get worse during night, as i am not able to sleep properly b'cose of numbness in both feet & hands. I thnk my left hand & left feet are geeting more affected. Surprisingly things are better on my weekly offday as i am feeling less numbness & irritation during saturday & sunday. May be sitting for long hours in the the same postures affecting me. I am taking medicines for last 5- 6 months now, but ther is hardly any difference. Now my Doctor has advised for a MRI of Spine. I don't know whether to go for it, or should i approach some other hospital. Actually i don't know whether my problem is related to spine or Neuro. Please suggest.

Also please let me know, that can one with numbness problem rely completely only on Accrupressure, Accupuncture or Yoga. What i mean to say i don't want to go for a MRI if i get assurance that accupressure, accupuncture or Yoga will resolve the problem completely.

hi, im 22 yrs old, and i am having similar issues, but my stomach is also upsat and im fatigued as well. from what it seems like i did have a very weird pain in my back so my husband "popped" my back and ever since then, my back has been killing me, and all of these symptoms arose. Just last night i toppled over w/ a pinched nerve feeling in my rib cage, and i have almost black out several times, anndd like you guys i am very healthy. what should i do?

I'm having similar numbness, not as drastic but i can feel it through out my right shoulder right side of my face, My back and legs and my stomach. it tends to vary in areas of my body but its weird as hell and im kinda getting worried..

It;s not a complete numbness its kinda of like when your leg first starts to go numb from sitting on it you can feel it but if you touch it or rub it you can barely feel it.

This morning i woke up with an extreme neck cramp/stiffness I don't knwo if this is related or i slept wrong but the numbness has been occurring since friday night It's sunday night now and i have work in the AM.

I work with heavy stones and machinery ( im a mason ) and it kind of gets me worried working around 2-7 hundred pound stones and slabs, and also carrying up to 300lb stones back and forth I most certainly don't want to drop one because of this problem. 

Our 38 yr old son had numbness and tingling on 1/2 of body, double vision, could not walk, nausea and vomiting. He had had a stroke caused by dissection of his L vertebral artery causing damage to his cerebellum. The cerebellum is responsible for coordination, balance, and posture. Anyone w these symptoms needs to go to ER right away.

I was just reading this and you have described my symptons excaact too yours...all this startyed happening after my second c-section.....did you get any results?

I, too have had the problems with numbness and tingling. My doctor wanted me to wait a month to see how the symptoms got, but I couldn't wait a month to see her. I've had these symptoms for nearly two months now consistently. I'm a healthy 24 year old with no health problems. I quit smoking about a month ago, and I've long since quit drinking since I have a son now. I went to the ER and they told me it was my sciatic nerve, but discharged me with a sprained lumbar spine. Now the numbness/tingling is starting in my left hand and somewhat on the left side of my face. I'm so frustrated as I have to wait until Wednesday to even make an appointment with my neurologist because he decided to take an extended Easter holiday. It feels better when I walk, but feels worse when I take hot showers. All blood tests I had in the ER came back normal and they did a CT scan on my head, normal. I'm ready to pull my hair out!!!!

Heather i too hv numbness on my fingers,body,tongue and legs.I hv been to Columbia and  taken head scan .MRI,other blood tests..came out with nil.was given sleeping tablets to rest.i decided to go to Subang for second opinion.did my nerve test with neurologist and came out nil again and was given relaxation pills.now i' hv started accupuncture.doctor says hv to wait for 3 weeks to see results.pls advise.

Hello Girls....well I am older lady and having simular problems been going on for me for a few years.  I have a qestion, why hasn't a neuro type doctor done EMG's on either of you?   I had two so far....they show if you have nerve damage which I supect you might have? or other things.  It is a good test that would help tell the doctor what your nerves are doing....

There is help just have to go to a good Neuro doctor.  There are other tests they can do as well.  I saw one while recently in the hospital and he look at me and knew I had drop foot.  Dont ask me I still don't understand it.  He did and I wish I could of recorded what he said how it is cause and where etc. 

I get the feet and toes and legs numbness.  I have some answers but they are looking at other dieases.  It's a game of limitnating other dieases.  I get weird things going on to my legs.  At first I couldn't feel my toes on my left side....now my right is going that way.  By having one side not the other makes a difference in what you have I found out.  But now my numbness both legs do it the same on both sides at the same time.  I don't have it all the time myself.   I have burning on the bottom of my feet, tingling and pins and needles feelings...the shocks that I feel have been in my hands & fingers.   I have weirdness there as well....my thrumbs and little fingers ache like they feel broken...of course are not.

So what did my first Neuro doctor after all the mir's I had with him and emgs say?   I have serve sensory polyneuropathy.  But since then all the legs have change and it has gotten worse...and it doesn't go away it changes and goes back and forth I guess I could say taking turns which area will be bad today.   So as you all....I have to find a new doctor new Neuro type doctor one that knows neuropathy.

I have all the MRI's done and I do have back issues...12 claps disks, leaking, etc.  but with the next EMG from a I thought a good hospital...came up with something different.  And today I had a mini stroke...and they saw in a CT something else....

So it seems like a never ending road right now for you and me.

I'm still trying to really find out....I guess it all depends on which insurance I have, where I live, and who is avaible to help me.

Have any of you looked into Spinal Cord Tumors? Sometimes they are hard to pick up on MRI's but that could be what is causing numbness, pain and the feeling of being on pins and needles. My sister had numerous MRI's done until someone finally spotted the tumor in her spinal cord. All I can recommend is get a great neurologist to review your MRIs! You never know what a doctor or a tech. might be missing when they look at your results. When it comes to spinal cord tumors - timing (and the right dr.) is everything.
