I am 25weeks pregnant with my first child and I just noticed this tonight. On my right side almost centered in the middle on the bottom on my ribs. Very uncomfortable feeling, I'm worried. Glad I'm not alone!

I am 39 weeks pregnant and had a rib pop out of place two weeks ago where the cartilage meets my breastbone (under my left breast). Since then I've been feeling the numbness, and my best guess is that it has to do with my ribs recovering from being pushed out. I'll be checking with my doctor today, but I'm not too concerned. My little girl is still moving around strong and the numbness is above my uterus so I can't see it affecting her.

I am 24 weeks along with twins and started the same feeling about 2 weeks ago. I had my monthly OB appointment and told the doctor about what I was feeling. my DR told me its probably a pinched nerve so she send me to physical therapy. So far I've had physical therapy twice and the feeling on my right back is feeling much better so maybe physical therapy will work your you. After the first session I wasn't to convince it will work since felt worst and bruced after but after my second session I feel much better. Now the only thing that has me worried is the the numbness/burning feeling under my right breast has increase slightly it feels like something is ripped inside I hope after a few more sessions with the therapist it goes away.

My whole belly front (about the size of a dinner plate is quite numb but itchy at the same time, I find the sensation very unnerving, the dr says it is normal and I am just hoping it goes away after the baby comes in a few weeks.

With my first pregnancy I had the numbness on the left side under my ribs. It is from excessive stretching of the skin. NOW LISTEN. My daughter was born a full 2 weeks past due, when I did hit my 9 month mark I experienced heavy numbness and itching in the center of my ribs toward the left. I was told it was excessive stretching and that it would go away once my daughter was born. ABOUT 5 MONTHS LATER I find out that I have a dislodged rib. I experience the pain and it pops out of place a lot when I'm doing yoga. It's even happened at work. It can not be fixed without surgery, but unless it punctures me its not life threatening. SO IF THIS DOES HAPPEN make sure it's only numbness not painful too. I hope that helped.

I had my baby a year ago. I had this same problem. Burning and nubness right in the middle of my ribs where they meet. Now I still have a half numbness but no burning. It's very strange. I assumed that it was my skin stretching but since it still feels strange I do not know.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one suffering through this but has anyone tried anything that helps with the pain. I've noticed that my number spot is also super sensitive and I always get the stabbing pain when there is something on the skin, I have a dog who sheds terribly so it's usually a dog hair just sitting on my skin where the pain is coming from. I've tried using Vicks vapor rub to cool it and it is a very temporary fix. It only relieves the pain for about 5 minutes. So if anyone has found some other remedy please share!

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I feel this ticklish or tingling feeling in the middle, a few inches from the top of my belly button. I wouldn't say it's a numb feeling; it just feels funny. Would you all know what that is?
