OK first of all , the world is overpopulated so not being able to concieve is prob a good thing. We should all adopt. Now that I've got your attention I'd like to introduce you to something called a menstrual cup,( google it ) u don't need to shove chemical bleached fibre wads in you every 20 minutes they're only roughly40 dollars and they last a year also there's something called a soft tampon, it is basically a sponge you put inside you while your on your period to hold the flow while your getting busy. If your periods really heavy use a few, hell tell you it reminds him of his youth when he used to put his boner into the couch cushions, now here's my story, I'm 26 diagnosed with pcos 2 years ago and I used to have reg periods up till around 20 ish years old then I had them on n off for a year or so , then I didn't have one for like 6 months and noe I have one every day, I fill my diva cup around 3 times a day mainly big clots, sometimes clearish liquid too, I refuse to take b.c Cu's those chemicals can kiss my ass, and I don't believe its the answer, I got a pap and the results said I have abnormal cells so I'm January I have to go get another one Cu's they say my body will most likely clear itself , then if the cells are still there I will have to do more tests etc. I haven't had sex in 5 years which is probably why I'm so snarky now haha I feel for you ladies,I thought my period was bad but its nothing compared to some of you, my mom has it really bad too she was going through a giant pad an hour ( one of those just had a baby pads) so she went to the hospital a bunch of times and its cleared up for her lately . I have no plans to have kids because I'm not selfish and basic, I will adopt one day though ,I've gone vegetatarian in order to lose the weight I'm holding and currently researching holistic menorraghia solutions as I believe the doctors are a bunch of lying twat bags who don't actually care about us and don't learn anything after they're schooling. I take an active role in my own health, you should to. Best of luck my sisters I truly hope it all works out for you and we find a cure , I'll write back if I find any holistic solutions on my travels through the interwebs . peace

I'm only 13 and mine has been going on for nearly a year now with heavy bleeding. I get a lot of cramps, I can't concentrate in school and I always get mood swings. I just wish I had a normal life. It's just so annoying having to be in the bathroom 24/7.

Someone , please, help me out!

I have been bleeding for 11 months straight now.. first time this has ever happened to me although my periods were never normal. I have no kids and have never been pregnant. I’ve had a D&C Hysteroscopy done recently but that hasn’t stopped the bleeding or clotting and I am still waiting for test results to come back from the sample they took from my womb . My gyno is baffled and recently placed me on BC. I am fully insured and would love any recommendations from u all! Help :(

I'm 16, almost 17 and I'm also having this problem. Honestly, it started in March 2017 when I went on the implant birth control and my OB/GYN said it usually only lasts three months but here we are, nearly a year later. I had some blood drawn a few weeks ago and they ran my blood through many tests to see if anything was wrong and nothing. Somehow I'm perfectly healthy but the bleeding won't stop. It's so frustrating going to school every day feeling like I'm going to leak and I never have a break and I go through so many pads it's not even funny. I have to ask my mom to get me a new pack every month. Maybe 2 a month. I also find it hard to wake up early to go to school and it's hard for me to fall asleep at night. I'm a virgin so I know I can't be pregnant. I'm so confused and sometimes I just wish I was a dude. If it turns out that I can't have children, then I'm okay with it. I was wanting to adopt when I got older, anyway. But that's what's happening with me.

After reading through most of the replies on this thread it makes me happy that I'm not the only one experiencing this but it also makes me sad that for some reason we're all experiencing this and no one knows what is going on. I first got my period in 6th grade (12 years old) and they were always very painful but never lasted more than 3 or 4 days. I'm 28 years old now and in September of 2016 my period was coming out brown and only lasted a day or two. I never got my period in October and then in November it was brown again and after that it never stopped. Some days it is very heavy and other days it's just spotting. I think the longest I've gone without bleeding for the last year or so has been a few weeks? The only plus side to all of this is I don't get cramps anymore but how can I when I'm bleeding 24/7? I've been to the doctor and they've done all the tests everyone has said they've had done and they say nothing is wrong or abnormal or they just don't seem to understand what I'm saying at all. Most days I can handle it but there are times where I just break down and cry because I'm so frustrated that it won't stop. I wish for us all to find out what is happening to us.

Hello, I've have had a very similar issue. 2015 around may I started to bleed a constant heavy amount, growing weak, faint, lost almost 100 pounds, I bleed consistently for a year and half if not a little longer. Finally it stopped most of the bleeding with the help of birth control and mildly went to normal. I still though bleed (spot) all the time. Anytime I'm lifting heavy items, sex, bending a lot, and when I miss my birth control. (Even if I take it late and not at my normal time I experience bleeding.) I've been to so many different doctors/specialist . Had so many test run, and nothing, they tell me I'm fine. I do not believe it is okay to have to deal with this so long. I learned recently though doctors have some type of shot to stop the bleeding. (Learned from my aunt )now why in the world has that never been offered to me?? Hopefully if need be and you ask for that shot to stop bleeding they will provide it.

Have you ladies had your Homocysteine levels checked? Overproduction of homocysteine can lead to ongoing bleeding but also other problems like Alzheimer's and heart disease. Vit B groups and iron supplements can help. https://familydoctor.org/high-homocysteine-level-how-it-affects-your-blood-vessels/ This is not the best reference but I hope it helps.

Wow I thought I was the only one dealing with this! I can’t take This, living life feeling like a gallon of blood is gonna randomly plop out between my legs all at once like a tidal wave, everywhere I go, all the time

Anyway, I’ve had my ‘period’ for about 2 years straight now. Any type of bleeding you can name, I’ve had. Red/pink/brown/Black blood. Slow drips to full on waterfalls. Blood mixed with clots of various sizes/shapes/colors/ethnicities. Doctors have been no help. Three weeks ago I was given Birth Control (Lyza) which made the problem worse (more blood than usual, like I couldn’t believe one person could bleed that much blood and still be alive. And mood swings like crazy). Online it says it can take three months to even things out but I couldn’t stick to it long enough to see if that’s true.

I stopped the birth control a week ago and started taking Berberine and an Iron supplement. I feel a lot better, but I’m still bleeding all time, maybe a few hours goes by with no blood but never more than that. I’m going to stick with the Berberine for a while to see if anything changes. If not, a lot of you suggested Vitex so that’ll be next.

Thanks to all the ladies who have shared here!

This is what's been happening to me, too, except it stopped for a week or two and now it's back again (it started again a few days ago, supposedly when my period is supposed to be due). My testosterone level is a bit high, and that might be the cause of it, from what the doctor said. The thing is, my bleeding is very light and the heaviest it gets is when a small pad is filled (those pads where you use on a daily basis when you don't have your period). This all started near the very end of 2016 (I don't remember which month it is exactly, but it was either November or December).

I'm really worried, and I'm scared for my future and what will happen to me if this continues on and it's really frustrating. It's a bit reassuring to know I'm not alone, though, and I hope we all can find a cure to this because having this happen all the time makes life harder and more stressful than it already is.

This is the OP of this reply - The doctor told me to either exercise (which I am doing), or take birth control pills (which I'm not doing but might have to consider if this continues on for any longer). If none of those work, I might have to see another doctor the last doctor I saw referred me to.

Hello!
I am 24 years old and am also having this problem. I’ve gone to three doctors, all of them checked for STI’s, STD’s, blood work, polyps, cysts, ultrasound, you name it. All have come back with “We will have to see what happens in a few months, it will just pass most likely. It’s probably a hormone imbalance that will fix itself. That was last May, July, and November that they told me this.
I’ve asked if I could start a birth control since I have never been on one before, and all of them refused, saying they want to wait until I am done bleeding. But that feels like it’s never going to happen. I got denied for a hysterectomy, which was my last ditch effort to try and stop this.
I don’t want kids, so that part is fine. But I’m tired of bleeding everyday for over a year now. In total I’ve had 22 days over the last year not bleeding.
