I have this too. It is a numb sensation in my upper right abdomen, but most of the time it feels like an itch. It is a neurological itch I believe. I've had it fo maybe 9 years off and on. It recently came back after being gone for a year or more.

it changes or can be provoked by posture. I also have myofascial pain syndrome, TMJ dysfunction, tinnitus, pain between shoulder blades and some neuropathy sensations that can feel like burning or cold wet water senations.

I have muscle pain on my right side lower back sometimes and often that hip area and the itch/ numbness seems to be more likely when that flares up.

I suspect it is related to the psoas muscle. I've gotten good at learning how to press into my abdoman really deap and feel the front of my back muscles like the psoas muscles. Learn to feel all muscle you can press on in there. You will find spots that feel like back pain when you press on them. Any spot you feel no pain or no dull ache or referal there is nothing there so keep moving.

You need to be able to go all the way from down low to up near your ribs and close to the center of your abdoman to the seeds. You use both hands with the fingers pointing together. After a few years I've only recently gotten a better handle on my understanding of the muscles in there and technique and found new areas to press on that feel a good kind of pain.

On a side note I plan to be tested for Borrelia, Babesia and Bartonella when the nano-trap antigen tests for them come out in a few years.

Sitting in the doctors office now.... Experiencing the same thing only mine has been constant for 10 years. After child birth last year the pain is uncontrollable! I've seen physical therapists, had steroids and massages, chest x-rays and now we are doing a Hyda-scan! I hope they see something. What on earth is this awful pain!?!? It's disabling!

Have had same problem for years. Pain meds help but clonzapam seems to help more. Recently VA stoped prescribing both. So I choose the clonzapam. Not a win win but bearable.

I have experienced that strange numbness feeling under my right rib cage for two years. Felt like something was lodged under it and was worse after eating, sitting or walking. I also had pain or discomfort from the hip to the back and towards the shoulder. At first I was thinking a nerve problem, then an organ problem after combing through forums and posts. I had an ultra sound on four quadrants that came negative. Then after a helpful post I finally narrowed down to my problem. TIGHT HIP FLEXORS AND THE PSOAS MUSCLE. You can easily develop this condition from long periods of sitting. Good news its reversible with proper stretching exercises and avoid sitting for long periods especially with the hips flexed and knees bent. Hope this helps as a lot of people get negative results while the problem persists!

try reducing the soft drinks or sodas or pop whatever you call them and take over the counter famotidine right before bed in addition to the Gax-X.

If you're noticing a lot of symptoms after eating certain foods that day your problem could be blood sugar level need to see a diabetic specialist doctor at this time. If Dr is always telling you there is a medium level you're in the middle you could go higher if you continue with too much sugar then your problem is definitely low - high blood sugar levels

I second this.. for anyone who's ruled out organ problems and hasn't received any diagnosis after running all those tests the hip flexors could be the answer. And no.. it doesn't mean that all you have to do is stretch those 5 muscles and you'll feel good again, quite the opposite, it means that you have to invest some time in trying to find out where you have imbalances in your body and then start strengthening your core in addition to stretching. Worth a shot for all of you who've been suffering for a long time.

Hi! guys. I just want to share what's happening in my body. I'm actually looking for the cause in google and eventually bump into this topic.

I'm 31 yrs. old, 183 lbs. 5'6" height and bloated tummy. I felt this weird feeling one time I was taking a shower. When the water hit my left rib cage it becomes numb, there's a tingling sensation like you are stabbed with a pin and hard. I didn't mind it but I noticed months came by and it's still there.

I feel numbness on the left side of my rib cage for more than 3 years now. There's also an on and off migrating stabbing pain from inside the rib cage, transferring to the right rib cage, back of my arms and at my back. I went to several doctors and they just gave me vitamin B Complex and Dolo Neurobion for the pain and the nerves.

I also had blood test, x-ray and ECG but all went normal. Some say it's anxiety or nerve problem. I also read it's about spleen problem or liver problem. Prior to this feeling, I have acid reflux and sometimes gout when I accidentally eat beans, beer or acidic foods and beverages. So, I'm guessing this is happening because I was an alcoholic when I was young and a chain smoker.

I tried reflexology and heating devices like Ceragem it helps a lot. As well as jogging and excercise but sadly it will still go back.

Right now I'm still wondering about this disease that Doctor's can't tell. Worst feeling if you're dehydrated or hungry. I sleep in my right side,

Don't hesitate to email me if you have questions or same experience. Just pray and hold on, eat healthy foods and don't forget your meds. We can all fight this!!!!
