I have the same case/pain of yours. I was operated this October 4, 2014 but stil I feel the pain when my monthly period is coming over. I dont know why that i'm just felt this pain when my monthly periods only, after my monthly period, pain free again. I felt bloated again, pain in my ribs, right side, and back and i felt un easy wearing a bra.
OK....same thing here. Consider being evaluated for sphincter of the oddi dysfunction. That could be causing the continued pain. I am seeing a specialist to review my symptoms and to discuss the SOD.
You are defiantly not alone...this site has helped me too, to know we are not alone. You are sooo young to be going thru this :( I had my GB removed last May & ended up with Blood clots in both my legs that traveled to my lungs (4 Hospital stays) After several Ultrasounds on my abdomen to measure fluid in my GB fossa (they couldn't remove, I was on 6 mos. Bl. thinners) CT's, MRI's, Biopsy of my stomach & living with debilitating pain on my right side under my right rib cage that radiates to my back...now being told (1 week after measured & still there) that it was gone...or that MRI didn't show fluid!! My pain isn't gone& has gotten worse the last couple of mos. Just what were they measuring??? Being told by PCP, GI Dr., there is nothing there & they don't know what else to do, maybe try pain center. Told yesterday by one pain center that they have never treated anyone with pain on right side, even had her crying as I told her my story. Trying another place next week. I am in constant pain & sometimes the pain meds & ice packs (3 a day) don't help & sobbing by night time...almost drove myself to ER several times. PCP told me to go to Mayo Clinic or Shans maybe they could find something. I wrote this to encourage you to not give up! I have felt like Dorothy in "Wizard of Oz" when the answers were being handed out for her friends & she said "You don't have anything in that black bag for me do you"... that wasn't the end of the story! Just need an angel to find the solution...SO WE CAN CLICK OUR HEELS 3 TIMES & be home (Be ourselves again) Praying for answers :)

We could be twins I had my surgery the same year and have been having this pain for only 3 days. It's not going away.
I have the pain under right rib cage -- had gallbladder removed almost a year ago . I have been in pain for the last 5 months. Surgeon said it was a floating rib rubbing another rib. The port scar from gallbladdersurgery is right above the rib pain. He wants to remove the floating rib. Not sure if this is a good idea, seeing that many people are in the same pain.
Just want to not be in pain - that is way I removed gallbladder in first place.
Dont go to gastrolage, you need a surgen go into a good Hospital Emergency Room dont tell them what other Dr said. Its not fybromyalga

It took me over 3 years before the pain was almost gone. But I went to a Health and Wellness Dr. who gave me a diet plan and food suppliments (not drugs). I also started to work out 3 days a week...which was agonizing and only contributed to the muscle pain (fibromyalgia). Stomach crunches and planking has help tremoudously... again this took years of daily pain, but in time it seem that the pain got just a little less and more manageble each month. Eventually I began to have hours without pain, then a day at at time. Now I'm having most days painfree. You should stay off Coffee or caffeinated pop....for now. I'm finally able to drink decaf a few days a week. Pain killers hurt your liver, and that is what needs to heal. Figure out the foods that cause problems and stay away from them. Like i can can't eat iceburge lettuce, but can eat leaf lettuce.
I too had my gallbladder removed to "stop" the pain and it actually got worse. I had so many test and they couldn't figure out any reason for my problems. They wanted to put me on anti-depressents...for stomach pain???? Finally found a Health and Wellness doctor and he got me on the proper eating habits and several food suppliments (not drugs). It took 3 years, but I'm finally having pain free days. I also started to work out 3 days a week, stomach crunches and planking have helped with the stomach and back pain.
I am 22 years old and 5 weeks post op (gallbladder removal) has been hell going to different doctors hospitals for almost a year trying to figure out what's wrong with me. One of those things were gallstones. Got the gb removed and the same week after got intense cramping underneath the rib cage on both sides. I ignored it as I was fresh out of surgery. I am now on week 5 and wake up in the morning with the most EXCRUCIATING pain and cramps beneath my breast / under my rib cage. I feel nauseous, hot flashes cold sweats weakness and pain like hell. Surgeon wants me to do bloodwork and possible MRI. I'm so tired of this c**p ongoing doctors visits testing and no legit answers
