I'm in the same boat you are. Had mine removed the 9th of August. Wondering now if it was my hiatal hernia causing it. I have followed diet religiously but now sitting here wondering if I should go back to er.

Gas in bile ducts or sphincter of oddi. No air sb in biliary tree. Have bilirubin levels tested too. Also liver can produce grit. I've been on this since being thrown in the IBS trash can

I had my gall bladder removed ( keyhole surgery) in 1994. I STILL have the pain in my right side where it used to be. The surgery left me with IBS too!!!

Is the pain constant or does yours come and go? Mines constant, like a pulled muscle or a pulling/stabbing pain. I had my gallbladder out 4 years ago

I had my gallbladder removed the old way which left me with a 5 inch scare on my right side from my middle abdomen below my sternum to my right side waist line in 1979. Now it is 2017 and I have always complained to several Physician's about it who have just pretty much ignored me. How interesting that I was diagnosed with fibromylgia approximately 10 years ago. What scares me is I am diabetic, have lost one kidney, my gallbladder, appendix, an adrenal gland, and my female organs. I have gained lots of weight from side effects from so many different medications from being I'll so much. Now I know my liver is toxic and am very concerned because the pain is more frequent. I have no faith in the Doctor's any longer near where I live. I feel I will not live much longer

By any chance you weren't in the military were you? Or living by a military post?
Have you been checked for toxic exposure?
If you haven't already...... STOP eating bread, pasta, and cheap rice. Or cereal right away. Limit your cleaning materials in your home to natural substances ( vinegar, lavender and baking soda ). Look at your soaps, and take out any air fresheners other than pure essential oils. Try to eliminate as many toxins in you food as possible. If you can pronounce it DONT eat it! Also try to stay away from sugars and use honey. This is all really really hard..... but it may provide a little relief.

I meant to say if you can not pronounce it do not eat it. Also look at your soaps, and if they have phosphates be very careful. You can find dye free soaps at Walmart.

I can't believe all these comments, or should I say, I do believe. I had my gallbladder out 11/17/16, here it is 3 months later. I hate the way I feel. I expressed my concern on follow up and was told, it's normal. The scar under my right rib cage, hurts so bad as well as the one above my belly button. I have very large breasts and expressed to my doctor, how my bra band rubs my incisions, the pain is horrible. His response was, does your bra do that, like I had 5 heads. Yes, I have large breasts, in my opinion, women with large breast having their gallbladder out, is much more difficult to heal! Bending over also, hurts under right scar area. I believe, I have scar tissue build up, very painful. I wish I never had it out.
