Hi, since a lot of people seem to be reading this question, I thought I'd post mine aswell. I am 18 and sexually active with my boyfriend (who before me he was a virgin). I shave and a few weeks ago I noticed a small bump outside of my vagina (mainly where all the hair grows) it doesn't hurt at all, it's not red or swollen or anything. I can hardly even see it, Its just a little bump. i even tried putting pressure on it to see if it would pop or something but it didn't do anything, and that would make it hurt it a little bit. would that just be a bump from shaving? I have had them a few other times but they just go away and none have been red or painful. and my boyfriend has not said anything about having bumps or anything that could be from me.
I'm going to haves ex tommorow and I just shaved...I got all these red tiny bumps that hurt...how can I make them go away?

i've got bumps like pinkish and a white one on the side of my labia....outer one....the bumps r from shaving and even me lookin for an answer to solve it.....its my 1st time shavin down there.......hope somepne here has an answer on how to make them go away without havin a visit to gyno.....
when you shave make sure you use a clean razor blade. No rust or any kind of dirt. The thing about blades are they must be key 1. Clean and 2. Sharp. If you use a old razor you risk spreading bacteria.
2. You have to first open up your pores before shaving. So always shave while taking a really warm bath. this will allow your skin pores to open up.
3. Use a good shaving cream or gel. Soap isn't that great.
4. Once your done shaving, use a good skin cleanser to clean bacteria or dirt on the surface of where u shaved.
5. Splash cold water to close your pores. This is what most people forget. When your skin pores are open you are risking ingrown hair from developing and possible boils from forming.
6. Get a good lotion with vitamins and moisturize the shaves area. This will cool your region if it has razor burn but it will also prevent dryness and itchiness which can cause discomfort.
This should help you avoid those pimples.

look telling ur gramma would be the best but if ur scared its alright if the bumps were there before u shaved see a doctar but if its afther u shaved its fine just leave it and ask teachers and friends moms that u trust or just a nurse they will help and awser ur questions and help u at it works i have experence ;) good luck
I'm 17 and I saved down down there like by my lips and whole and it just started to itch..I ignored it and had sex the next day...now I have bumps down there and they itch but not pusy...I'm scared to go to the doctor because I don't want my mom to find out I'm sexually active please please please someone tell me they are just irritation but...they are around the areas I shaved...I'm scared

can u ladies help me out...I have 3 pimple boil looking bumps on.top.of my ***** that seem.to be fill with blood..ugh it hurt soooo bad but my mother & friends consistently tells me it comes from when I use to shave all the time do u agree?? it seem as tho they come & go.but manage to.be in the same exact spot all the time...I try not to mess with do to.it flaring up or getting infected...it was 3 but ones gone back dwn..the other 2 is shrinking as thr blood ooze out...1 is bigger than the other to..what do u think it is & its been worrying me I have a doctor appointment coming up soon so hopefully I know what it really is...

Secondly, oral sex is much more pleasurable for both parties (generally) if the outer labia and area above the clitoris is smooth. Just like when someone complains that a man's beard is too scratchy to make out... Same thing.
Lastly, when a girl wants to shave her cuka to boost her self esteem, it's "society's fault she feels that way, but you have no problem with a guy manscaping to look change his appearance. That's sexist.
