45 year old male here. About 10 days ago after masturbating, i started to get a burning sensation on the head (knob) of the penis (uncut). It feels it is coming from inside the head. It is like a nail is in the tip or that there is always pee there. After i pee i always get a bit of discharge (just a few drops) of clear pee come out like it was trapped. I get no actual burning when peeing, it feels uncomfortable all the time though especially when aroused or getting an erection; the lips at the top of the knob can also get quite red and sore if I get an erection. I have this feeling on and off for years after sex but always have had relief by having a hot shower after and it is always gone by the next day; not this time. I have been tested for all STI's, Uruatisitis, and UTI, all negative. Besides the burning knob I have no symptoms of kidney stones or bladder/prostate cancer; no abdominal or back pain, pee color is normal and no puss. It also gets worst as the day goes on. Dr's in Australia are resistant to give any medications including antibiotics if there is no sign of infection. I do have an appointment with a urologist coming up but am in constant pain and going mad. Don't really know where to go from here with the pain and if it could be neurological or I have done damage to the penis head. The pain has not got worst but has not got better and painkillers do nothing which makes me feels it may be neurological. Slowly going mad here and my anxiety is increasing, always feeling fatigued.
I am in a pretty dark place at the moment dealing with the constant burning. I drink, I pee, I burn and it is constant for me at the moment. Doctors are not helping and don't seem to get that I am in 24/7pain. Doctors keep saying to drink more water but this actually causes the pain to flare up and I am in the toilet every 5 minutes if I drink a lot of water. Had an ultrasound yesterday and had to drink about 2 litres of water and had a bad flare up last night with an intense stinging in the urethra- hit a pain level of 10. the pain does seem to get worst as the day goes on and in the evenings. Unfortunately, normal pain relief does not work. Seems to be a common story for anyone suffering constant UTI symptoms. I'm starting to wonder if I have a Urethral Stricture though I don't really have a weak stream just grasping at straws really. Not knowing what is wrong and how to treat it is the worst past.. Has anyone tried or heard of AZO for UTI relief? I have only just started to look into this myself.
Check my earlier post. In the beginning it was pain and burning inside my urethra. The pain was about half an inch inside where the meatus is. The pain was 10 on a scale. Felt really tight when i pushed to pee. I couldn't even sleep and the stress of having a diseases really freaked me out. It's way better now but still feel mild burning sometimes at the top sometimes inside. Some days are good some are bad. I'm reading a book called headache of a pelvic by Dr. David wise and it desribe symptoms I'm having. However you need to do all test to insure it's chronic pelvic syndrome but for me that's kinda the last disorder. I mean it could be some type of super Mycoplasma but the drugs I have taken should of cleared it. I have another urologist appointment next week to get a second opinion. Regardless it will end and I will be back to normal. Just remember that it will eventually heal. Urethra is very tender so it will take time to heal. Im at a 4 month mark so you have some time. Oh here's a few things to do to help you get passed the days. Fill up a jar with warm water put tea bags and baking soda and place your thing inside of it and press it to open ur urethra for 15 min a few times a day. Doctors probably will not advise this but there clueless most of the time, so f**k em. Also don't open your urethra to look allbthe time. Buy a electrical heating pad and place it there. Take probiotics, magnesium, vitamins and drink 4 liters of water. I bought Azo standard and d-mannose which i read online but i dont think it helped. I just bought cysta q , renew apparetly helps with urinary tract. Take hot baths, stretch and workout (if possible). Healthy mind healthy body. Your brain will make symptoms worse. I feel your pain guys trust me felt like killing myself, but be strong and it will pass. It's not a serious life threating condition.
Thanks for the reply. I have a Cystoscopy booked for the 28th. Renal Tract Ultrasounds came back normal and microplasma and urine tests all normal. My pain or discomfort is just inside the head. I'm peeing ok at the moment but sometimes it can irritate the tip. Still feels like something is in the urethra all the time in the head but pain level is more a discomfort that I would say at worst is about a 1 to a 5. My stupid GP just gave me anti-depressants which have made me a nervous wreck, shakes, hot flushes and fatigued so I have stopped those after 7 days. Urologist says he might make a small cut to widen the urethra which he thinks will fix the issue. I don't have any pressure when peeing. It can actually provide relief and I have no burning during urination. I haven't developed any other symptoms. I don't want to speak to early or jinx's myself but the feeling in the head does seem to be getting better in week 4. I think your right, it will just take some time.
