Hello! My doc started me on adderall three weeks ago to see if it would do me any good with my memory and concentration. I haven’t noticed any signs of improvement yet, but I guess it is still early for that. However, I did develop strange burning feeling during urination and I also have some white penile discharge. Could this be adderall side effect?
Not really, but it could be one of many STDs. Burning sensation while urinating and white discharge from penis are typical signs of an STD. Have you had unprotected sex lately? You should have yourself checked promptly. I can think of at least sexually transmitted disease that has symptoms like yours. Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Nongonococcal Urethritis are all stds. Many people are not familiar with Nongonococcal Urethritis. This disease causes inflammation of the urethra.
I've had the same buring sensation. There is no way it is an STD either unless I got it some way other than sex. I have heard of the same problem for others too. But not the white discharge. That does sound like an STD!
hm, it could be an STD according to all of those symptoms, but this guy didn't have an unprotected intercourse, so it is hard to tell what this can be. I mean, an STD it is not. male discharge can be a totally normal thing. There are so many tests that you can do. I had it but that discharge was something totally normal - it was clear and my doctor told me that there is no reason for me to worry, that is normal. but if you experience any type of symptoms, such are burning sensations or readiness, it can be really bad. also, I forgot to mention that once I had gonorrhea, but thank God I found about it on time and I was healed. No more unprotected intercourse for me...
Yes, it could be adderall. Any ampedimines can cause your prostate to swell, cause burning, and semen in the urine
I have experienced both semen in my urine and severe testicle and back pain. After having an ultrasound of the testicles and mri of the abdomen I was given a regimen of antibiotics. The Doctor was unable to diagnose the problem and stated "I wouldn't die from it." I have been using Adderrall for over two years. Desperate to get some relief I discontinued the Adderrall for five days and all symptoms disappeared. Today, I took 20 mg. of Adderrall and within 15 minutes I was in excruciating pain. I am not a Doctor but it seems obvious my problem was caused by the Adderrall.
Wow, I actually feel a little better. I started taking Adderall in Sept. 06, and in Nov./Dec had some strange pains in lower abdomen and left testicle along with urinary discomfort. I'm in a faithful marriage for 3 years (9 year relationship) and have no reason to believe my mate was unfaithful or thus would be STD. However, in december I got these pains, followed by what looked like semen in my urine a few times after. After a trip to the ER, a few MRI's, CT-Scans & Ultrasounds, 3 doses of antibiotics and a few scripts for the pain, I'm pretty sure it's the Adderall...and I think it could be stress coupled with the adderall (bought our 1st home, having 1st child in a week, and a new high-pressure/paying job)

Not gunna lie...I just had this occur. I have not been sexually active for over 5 months and I have even refrained from masterbating. Since the last girl I was with I had the doctor do every test possible and the doctor commended me on how healthy I was.
However, today I accidently took a little more than I usually do becuase I wanted to get alot done today and I got discomfort in my abdomen. I started drinking lots of water and when I went to the bathroom it was extremely painful and there was alot of semen in the toilet. Since then I have been drinking water by the liter trying to flush out my system. This has happened a couple of times but not to this extent. Not gunna lie when this happens if you were stressed out you can multiply that stress tenfold! I was thinking of going to the doctor asap but this really helped settle me down.

It is the Adderall. I have been to three doctors in the ,almost 3 years i have been on Adderall. I get a pain that is almost unbearable it times in my lower left side, and a clear discharge along with pain in the left testicle mostly. Two doctors always say it is an infection and give me antibiotics. The other, a Urologist, came to the conclusion that he believes the Adderall is causing my prostate to spasm and inflame causing the discharge. Not to mention that sometimes if i even think about sex and begin to get aroused the pain begins. Sometimes i feel like i need to use the bathroom but it does not help. The Urologist advised me to ask my Pdoc to ween me off the Adderall. But, other than that i have no more information. If anyone is lucky to be diagnosed and the doctor finds an actual fix or proof of the problem, please let me know. I carry 4 Tynol with me and when i feel it start to come on i take them. It won't beat the pain but it will reduce it then finally beat it.
My response is about 2 years too late, but maybe it will help someone who comes across this thread. I experienced lower back pain, "shrinkage" and semen discharge while urinating. Frankly, there were times I couldn't get hard without busting immediately (no hands needed, lol).
This is common with Adderrall, more so in high doses, but not unheard of at lower doses in those that are new to the drug. Amphetamines are associated with vasoconstriction. When medically innaproproate, this side effect can lead to back, kneck, jaw and chest pain. Pain in these areas while taking amphetamines is typically considered angina and therefore treated as such. Not all instances of the aforementioned types of pain are angina. These painful symptoms can be a sign of dehydration, hypertension or even as a result of amphetamine induced anxiety. If you are experiencing them frequently, you're gonna have to switch meds. It sucks, but it's reality.
My psychiatrists solution was simple. We tapered my dose and stopped Adderrall. We then switched to
Dexidrine (dextroamphetamine) as it has been shown to have less
impact on bloodpressure than Adderrall. As we increased my dose, my pDOC added an aspirin regimine and a very low dose vasodialator. Once we found the right dosage for me, we gradually decreased the vasodialator, stopped the aspirin regimine and used only the Dexidrine. I was fine from then on.
I just need to add this: if you are abusing an amphetamine and experience negative side effects as a result, perhaps it is time for you to think about a change. Easier said then done, I know. Regardless, Amphetamine abuse can, in some cases, be very difficult and painful to overcome. If you have an opportunity to avoid going down that road, you should jump on it today.

Okay. I'm on Adderall XR. I've had the same sensation of seminal discharge after urinating. It has never been painful, but quite a sensual, pleasurable experience. I wasn't masturbating either and was completely flacid. From what I can surmise, due to the stimulus affect on the Cingulate Gyrus which controls Basal Ganglia functions, such as worry, cognitive abilities and attention span; it seems that there may be momentary surges in neurepinehrine and dopamine, which are the "pleasure" chemicals, in the brain. In turn a physiological reaction occurs and seems to cause over spasming of the prostate gland, during urination. Adderall seems to "peak and valley", with me. It works great for a period of time and then seems to take a break and allows my ADD to run rampant. Overall, the experience has been a positive one. It's not a drug for everyone. A good alternative might be Vyvanse. So anyone with seminal discharge shouldn't be too alarmed, but if you're concerned that it might be a venerial disease, talk to your PC Dr. or mention this to the medical physician who prescribed your Amphetamine-D Salt Combo regiment. This thread has answered my questions for the last year, I have had the same problems with burning at the tip of my penis and urethra inflammation and white semenlike discharge. I've had these pains affect me randomly over the years and they always went away so I would forget about them. Never occurred to me that I only was getting these pain when I would withdraw from amphedemine during breaks or what ever, I'm prescribed it for "A.D.D" and it helps with school but I always discontinued it during long breaks. Never thought i had any withdrawal side effects until now
Yes, your problems are the same as mine and I assure you I do not have an STD. Adderall has a strange affect on the prostate, and I am discontinuing usage of it as a result. The discharge is simply the prostate reacting to inflammation caused by the adderall. Stay on it long enough and you will get a bladder/prostate infection. I hate it, as I really need the adderall, but this is a high price to pay. I'm going off tomorrow and will only take it when I really need it moving forward.
Signs of chlaymidia are burning sensation while urinating and a musus like discharge but you said your discharge is white and usually for an STD its a yellow/green discharge. But go tell your doctor and let him know about your side effects. If youve been sexually active lately then its most likely an STD
