If she's five days late the best way to know is to get tested. Most pregnancy hormone can be detected up to five days earlier. So get tested and have a peace of mind.

Yes, testing will make your worries go away but from my point of view, she is definitely not pregnant.
I mean, it is possible but the chances are very , very slim, almost non-existent.
To avoid these headaches, use some form of protection like condoms, birth control....etc.
She is also stressed from work the whole month, and her professor just added some unwanted stress too. August was a hell month in the university. Does stressing about it add to the prolonging of her monthly visitor?
