My period is 6 weeks late, I had blood work done and I'm not pregnant. I'm nauseated, low energy (just want to sleep all day), reoccurring pain on my upper abdominal just under my left breast (like 2inches below).

It may not be normal to have no period, but there's a lot of instances in which it is not a cause for concern. Stress in many forms (life changes, not enough sleep, regular day to day stress) can delay periods indefinitely.

The causes for concern include cysts and other abnormalities in the uterus (which appear to be ruled out), pregnancy (also ruled out), or a low body fat %. I would guess that the doctor was able to make a judgement on the last one if the appointment was in person.

This has happened to me, and the medical advice I received was to wait it out and see what happened. I got my period back within eight weeks. It's also a good idea to take note of stressors in your life, and to try and alleviate them as best you can. Freaking out about why you don't have a period is only going to add to your stress level.

My period stopped for a while in my early twenties when I was under weight. Check your nutrition and stress levels. Also are you exercising a lot? Not having a period might be because of that.
