I Have the same bad cough had it for 3 years now! just want it to go!
oh dear! that doesnt sound good kezza the lezza! if the name has anything to go by this could have something to do with it lol! hope your well soon
I Don't know what your insinuating, I may be a lesbian but that should not have any connection to my cough ?
I had a lingering cough as well after pneumonia for months. I was put on many rounds of antibiotics and nothing helped. I had a repeat chest x-ray that came back normal. The thing that FINALLY cured me was the doctor put me on steroids for 6 days (21 pills, the dose was 4 something (mg? mcg??)). Try this if nothing else works. I didn't think it would work for me, but it actually solved my problem!
I've got identical symptoms, I am only 22 and this has been going on for about 2 1/2 years now. X-Ray showed nothing, blood test, nothing, and stomach test showed no ulcers. It is really bs, I don't know what I ate, but I don't deserve this terrible damn cough. This seems like an epidemic on a small scale, its really not good. I feel weak and I can't go to the gym as much as I want because the cough gets in the way.
Symptoms get worse from: eating a lot of food, and drinking coffee.
the lungs and upper abdomen. Most people do not know they have this until they
die from something else and an autopsy is done.
My Mum had a chesty cough which lasted for a couple of months. The doctor gave her 2 lot of antibiotics but they didn't seem to clear it, and she was reluctant to give her any more because they obviously can do more harm than good. The doctor sent her for a chest x-ray, which was clear and they told her that it is possibly an allergic reaction so they put her an antihistamines which didn't help!
Then a few weeks after that she saw an offer on Groupon for the Salt Cave and it said that it helped with respiratory conditions. So as it was only £10 she figured she had nothing to lose After 2 sessions her cough was gone! without the need for any more nasty antibiotics or antihistamines.
Sometimes nature really does have the answers :)
Hi I am 38 and also have had what everyone here is describing. I had mild pneumonia in 2007 and now every year I seem to get flu like syptoms which turn into a chest infection every time. Initially the antibiotics cured the infection but left me with an unproductive cough. I smoke about 4-5 per day so attributed it to being a smoker at first. However, I am now wondering if there is something regarding emotional health because although I don't feel depressed I have had a significant amount of emotional turbulance in the last few years. I started a new job (health worker) in a new area and within weeks got an infection which left me with post viral / ME type symptoms where I could hardly get out of bed or walk without feeling exhausted. This lasted 7 weeks. I went back to work in the area I trained wasn't ill at all. I have moved jobs again to a new geographical area and it has happened again... I have been there only 4 weeks and have had a course of amoxicillin which seemed to work but it returned after a week even worse. I have been prescribed prednisolone steroids and clarythromycin and am off work :( . Like everyone else has described I have never had a temp but just keep producing a mixture of white and yellow sputum. I was x-rayed following the 7 weeks episode and it came back clear and bloods were all ok. I am alsobaffled!
thanks. I have lot of Chinese Tea at home which I got as gift and not taking it. I will try and see if caugh goes..
I have the same thing. I don't know what to do. My husband thought a horn blew somewhere when I coughed. My doctor asked if it sounded like a bark. I think it does. It started in October of 2013 with shortness of breath. Now I am like one of those "Victorian Ladies" dying of consumption. It's like I've had a cold in my lungs for almost a year. I sound like I'm ninety-nine years old when I speak now. My voice is all raspy and weak. I hope I don't have to live like this forever.
