try checking against pictures to make sure it isnt folliculitis.

WARNING, IF IT IS folliculitis DO NOT SQUEEZE OR POP WHITE HEADS AS THIS WILL CAUSE SPREAD OF THE INFECTION.

symptoms are:
red bumps,
itching,
painful,
whitepuss heads,
can spead over body,
often look like bites.

worth checking out just to double check.

P.S if this is the case it should clear up within 2-10 days, if not pop to the doctors to get some antibiotics to clear it up.

I know this sounds like something out of Harry Potter but it sounds exactly what my daughter had they are called molluscum contagiosum... and they had to freeze/use a form of like beetle juice stuff to get them off...

Pityrosporum Folliculitis...

I had a few bite/pimple looking bumps on my stomach that were really itchy. They started going up my chest, on my back, in my scalp and a few on my arms. So itchy, it's driving me crazy. The look like tiny pimples. They're pretty randomly placed. I thought I was getting bit by something, so I've been checking my bed every morning and every night. Nothing.
When I went to the doctor, he said it was Molluscum Contagiosum, showed me some photos and told me that it's a poxvirus, there's nothing you can do about it. It may last from 2 months to 2 years! I had never heard of it. He said children often get it, and doctor's think you can get it from towel sharing or skin to skin contact.
It's pretty tortuous. You can feel a tingle just before one pops up. I've been putting tea tree oil on mine twice a day to at least dry them out. I've been reading it's the white pus in the middle that is contagious, so if you have that, be careful if you pick them or scratch them. There seems to be different variations on them.

i get the same sorta, mostly on my ankles, thighs, shin ect. one will  raise up the size of a pea and get full of puss like mucas. when i pop them it takes the whole intire top off and then there is a hole in the skin that looks like a cretor. at first they thought it was shavers rash and now the doctors have no clue. they started out in pimple, goose bump sort of things. ive tried bactraban, coccanut oil, tablets, antibiotics. this all started when i was in year 7 and now in year 9 going on to year 10. it also affects my nervous system. i loose touch, feelings and sensations in my hands and lower legs. i get quite sick ever since these rashes came. ive been for testing but still came back with nothing.

i thought it was a side effect from my medication so i stopped taking them but yet the rash got alot worse, and its got to the point there skaring my skin even if i dont touch them. in summer my school uniform requirs a skirt and then every one can see my legs.

I think what you have is called Pityrosporum folliculitis. It is a yeast infection of the skin. Tell your doctor that you might have a yeast infection of the skin or hair follicles . You can also try to apply Lamisil lotion. In the meantime apply ice, it really helps

Look up "molluscum".   My son has them.   Type of virus.   Can last a couple of years.   No danger.  Can be treated if bothersome.

I have the exact same thing happen to me. I have not been able to find an answer or diagnosis. I have noticed they bumps occur mostly when I get overtired or stressed. Please pass on if you find any resolutions. Thanks

Could be fibromyalgia or if it seems to mainly affect one arm or leg maybe a pinched nerve or sciatica

I just went to the doctor and found out this same rash is actually scabies. You get a cream you apply one time to every inch of your body and it's almost instant relief

Did it go away? My husband has the rash that you are describing, and we don't know what it is? It itches terribly and the pin pricking pain bothers him too. It came on a couple of days after his rotator cuff surgery.

Hope this helps someone. I had the same symptoms as described. I went to urgent care and they prescribed me predisone(14 day steroid regiment). They believe I contracted poison ivy or poison oak on my arms(may have been from my dog). I was also told to take Zyrtec through out the day and Benadryl at night. I use a Benadryl cream as well. After the 3rd day on pills and cream some of the redness is going away. Still very itchy. Seems like it's working slowly.

Please still see a doctor.
