right now i'm part of a pilot of a maxi-flex work schedule - they make it sound complicated but basically I have two weeks to work 80 hours. No commute.

I work from home, so my hours are from when I get up to when I'm done that day. 1 minute commute, maybe 2 minutes if I go the long way ;)

Once every couple of weeks I drive in to the office (140 miles away) for the day - that is teh suck (but worth it).

*That was the first time I've used "teh suck" - I sure hope I used it correctly

Right now, mine's pretty flexible. I just have to notify my boss near the end of the week of my off days the following week before he makes up the next schedule.

These are my paid hours. :| I spend way more time than that at the gym helping people. I also clean 2 houses every week which takes another 5-6 hours.

It's supposed to be 10-2 M-F, but I almost always end up staying later. I've stayed as late as 6. I was working full time for a bit and got there anywhere between 7:30 and 9, then left whenever I hit a good stopping point, no later than 5pm.

Commute is 15-20 minutes on the way there, 10-12 on the way back. Due to 100 feet of one-way, I have to detour the route there by 3 blocks, hitting a stoplight at the edge of downtown. The drive home is a straight shot.

No official flex hours. I'm supposed to be in by 8:30am and I can leave at 5:00 pm. As long as my work is done they're good to go. I take between 20 minutes and 2 hours for lunch, depending on the day and my workload.

This is a fairly typical week for me..

Mon: 9.30am-7.45pm with a 3 hour break midday
Tues: 8am - 7.30pm half - one hour lunch break
Wed: 1pm-7.30pm
Thurs: 2pm-7.30pm
Fri: usually do a couple of appts

Its as flexible as I want it to be, but it does require some planning to shift stuff aruond. I keep Fridays flex for long weekends or travel to events.

In between appts I so paperwork and attend to my nutrition business, sending out orders etc. I quite often work on the admin and internet side of the business over the weekend if I have a few spare hours with nothing better to do. Now I'm well established and nearly all my clients are regulars, my work day is structured to fit in around my training schedule 8) .

Commute = 15 seconds. Three years working from home now, I'm ruined .

Work Schedule: 3pm to 11pm
Flexibility: Very flexible, I also have the 3rd Shift. I can usually change my hours if I need to.
I drive about 1/2 hour each way. I typically put in considerably more than 40 hours per week.

I work between 24 and 64 hours per month, I set the days I work, coordinated with another nurse's schedule. I work 6:45-3:15 or 7:15 shifts, not flexible. My commute is 4 miles then a long way through a huge hospital. Depending on how much I'm willing to pay to park (and how far I'm willing to walk alone in the dark at 6:30 am or 7:30 pm) the commute can vary between 20-45 minutes.
