I have the same problem. Two months ago I had my appendectomy and nou my left lower abdomen looks like a bicycle tube
Same conditions except no diarrhea. No resolution, hospitalized for 2 weeks due to abscess, high white blood cell count and extreme pain and vomiting. My appendix was perforated for a few days by the time I consented to go to the hospital. 6 weeks post-op, and nothing has changed since I was discharged. I'm getting grumpy, frustrated, tired of the constant pain, tired of my surgeon telling me it's just constipation and most of all---I have no appetite, I don't sleep well because of the pain. I will not give up until some doctor or nurse can give me an answer and take care of the issue. I am also on indefinite leave from work. Did I mention that I at 53, live in an area with MANY hospitals, doctors and nurses? Before all this happened I was very healthy, exersized often, don't drink alcohol or do illegal drugs. I would like to get back to my life before my appendix went off on it's own.
Don't give up. Be persistent with your health and doctors you see. Don't let them treat you like a hypocondriac because that is wrong. Remind them that "first do no harm" was part of the oath they took when they become doctors. Stay strong and I hope you feel better soon.

Hi
You will have to wait over 3 months, before you might feel better. I have had my lapo surgery over 6 months ago now. And still sometimes it can get aggravated. Be careful to not strain yourself, do not lift heavey things, and rest when you have to, and keep taking an advil, or Tylenol when a little pain comes. The intestines takes time to adjust, and gas that is still trapped inside could be the problem. Make sure your diet consists of Probiotic yougurt, and make sure you are having sufficient bowel movements. Takes time, but you will feel better.
Hang On.

Hi. I'm going on three years since the hospital thought I was a drug addict and refused to see me for 19 hrs and my appendix ruptured. That was June 5, 2014 and I have not recovered. My stomach looks like I'm six months pregnant and the pain is all day. I am depressed as I was in excellent physical health before the hospital left me for 19 hours. I have had three CAT scans, endo, colon, x rays, blood, etc and nothing can be done.
Had my appendix removed 10 days after it ruptured. er misdiagnosis. carcinoid tumors found and chronic appendicitis for years. complicated by post of cdif and sibo. the first 6 months I never ever, ever want to relive. it has been 2 years and finally just starting to get anywhere near normal life. be proactive and i know that is hard, look for new doctors, and hang in there. there is a light at the end of the tunnel
