I had a leep done a few years back..and I am glad to say that you can get pregnant after the surgery, but the chances of reaching 7 or 9 months is slim...i lost my pregnancy at 5 months due to the incompetent cervix...i was told i can have 20 children, but i will have to make the choice of either staying in bed for the remaining time of the pregnancy or put in a sutra from i am 14 to 16 weeks pregnant. It can be very risky...so i am very happy for everyone who had a successful pregnancy.
I hope you have a successful pregnancy...mine wasn't....next time i think i will be fine
As far as the surgery goes, it needs to be done if you have abnormal cells.because i got pregnant with my first baby and i unfortunatley suffered from a miscarraige.i went to my doctor to get a pap smear done and i got the bad news of abnormal cells, if your pregnant with it its def not safe cuz it weakens your cervix and its not safe for anyone to have it even when they arn't pregnant so either way its needs to be done so both you and your children can live a happy healthy life.i wish everyone good luck! :-)
Hi, I just found out I need to get the LEEP surgery done. I am very scared. All of the things I have been reading on the internet kind of freak me out. My dr. told me i would not have a problem getting pregnant. Now my question is that if i get pregnant can i carry a full delivery or is there complications on carrying a full 12 months delivery. Has anyone had compicatins durring there pregnancy after a LEEp surgery. :-(
I am having the LEEP procedure on Monday. My doctor is great and I trust him very much. He said no need to worry about pregnancy, i should cary fine and if they see a possible issue they can alsways stitch you up. I know it sounds kinda weird. Depending on the size of the displaysia they are removing, you may not carry full term.
Also, the procedure is much like when they do a biopsy and my dr informs me that some people do better with LEEP than they did with the biopsy.
Don't believe everything you read on the net
Also, last time I checked a full term pregnancy was 9 months, not twelve

I'm 26 and have a 14 month baby. I had a leep done 6 months ago and I just find out I'm pregnant (I wasn't trying, in fact I was on the pill). I'm really scared to have a miscarriage....I dream about it every day, every minute. I really would like to find someone who has had a excellent pregnancy after a leep done!!!!!!
I try not to think about it but it's getting really bad. They need to do a copolscopy done in about 3 weeks to make sure that "everything" is gone after the leep. I hate this kind of procedures but I hope everyting is ok because I really don't want to get another leep done (I rather have 20 contractions at the same time).

Hi everyone! My name is Liza, i am 25 years old and I am having a leep done on Oct. 4. My boyfriend and I want to have a baby and we have been trying for a few weeks now. I was wondering if we should stop trying until after my leep is done or if it matters if I am prego while I am having the leep done....I may be already prgo and don't know it....has anyone been prgo and undergone the procedure and had a healthy baby?
I had a LEEP done and was very nervous about having an incompetent cervix as a result which I feared would cause a miscarriage. My pregancy was completely normal, I carried to full term and delivered a healthy baby boy. There were no signs of a short or incompetent cervix. So try not to worry, most likely everything will be fine. I am now preganant again and my doctor said that since I was fine the first time it should be fine this time as well.
I have just had a LEEP done today 26th April 2010 was pretty scared but it didn't hurt at all just felt abit hot. I didn't think you could get pregnanct or have sexual inftercourse so soon after Leep but there is always temptation.
I wish you all the luck in the world with your current and future pregnancys after LEEP i'm sure everything will be fine. They will not do the LEEP procedure during pregnancy. I'm happy to hear you had LEEP and got pregnant afterwards.
hi......all i have to say, is YES you can get pregnant after a LEEP. I had my LEEP on may 6th 2010...and I just found out TODAY JUNE 21rst...that I am in FACT 2-3 weeks pregnant. I was worried I could never get pregnant. Unfortunetely this is not a good time for me, so I am thinking of my options..and its a difficult time...as i have an 11 month old who keeps me very busy. Dont worry, if you have babies easiy...after a LEEP...it will still be the same....otherwize....protect youself...
ps....you can get pregnant on your period..and from pre cum....i just had to add that

Hi. I had sexual intercourse 3 weeks after leep procedure. Does anyone know what could be my chances of conceiving, or do I need to see my doc?
Is it safe to go through an abortion just over a month after having a LEEP procedure?
Is it safe to conceive two months after LEEP surgery?
