Thankyou for your reply,Yes I do think there is a connection personally, but every doc I have seen says "it is not possible" although it would seem to me to be too coincedental to have them both appear at the same time.I have two cysts in the right ovary one is about 7 cm x 6 cm and the other is about 2 cm. They say it is even more improbabable for that to be the cause because my pressure is on the left side . I was thinking it is just that they have pushed an organ or two around  and up. Super uncomfortable! I  sooo hope it does dissapear with the surgery. I have only now began to have pain with it,mostly in my back and pelvic area and I have to go to the restroom a lot more than usual:( Are you going to have surgery?

I don't know why doctors are like that. Since appendicitis can cause pain on the left even though it's on the right, why can't an ovarian cyst do that too? I have found another message board that has helped me tremendously. All these weird symptoms ARE related to cysts because there are thousands of women who have experienced them and posted about them including your transferred pain. These message boards seem to be more helpful than these doctors who don't really know what they are talking about. May be they should listen to their patients.

My gyn had me wondering if this pain actually was from the cyst or not but after reading about all the symtoms they can really cause, I have finally decided to have the surgery because I can't handle this pain anymore.

Look here for more info on cyst symptoms:

I wish us both a pain free future.

Mine began with bloated and boiling hot sensations in and around stomach area. I found a siberian pine oil remedy which helped with appetite & a believed ulcer somewhat. Yet after using the oil now have the same as those who feel a lump pressure behind left ribs but higher up near the heart. Also when turning to left feels like a bullet going through from front to back and on left side of the shoulder muscle. No loss of breath dizziness or tiredness comes, and have tried only herbal medicine as reports herein show medical pracs/specilists work only with trials which bring temporary relief. So if anyone has had similar and found some solutions I'd be really gratefull to know.

PS A book on pure garden greens/veggie squeezed juices & friuts, by local author -God's Pharmacy Parts 1&2, had me try his suggestions, like lemon juice for bloating and it really worked. He says pure cayenne pepper can save a life during a heart attack by clearing blocked artery and shows backed up referrals of success given by certain doctors.

I've had a pressure in my lower right side for 6 years now. Doesn't hurt, but feals like someone is sticking their thumb in my side. Making me very nervous. It goes away and comes back...I have no clue

Well I had my ovarian surgery. The "pressure" feeling is still there. Not giving up. Now I think it may be muscular . Somehow related to my spine or possibly the nervous system. By any chance is anyone else an offspring of someone exposed to agent orange or the chemical they used to make it? I know it's a longshot but I have run into some things while looking for an answer.

I had my ovarian surgery too. The pressure went away for a while but has since returned. I still have these "attacks" of pain in my abdomen and up under my ribs and even my back is painful.

I was wondering if it was related to kidney stones because the pain seems appropriate for the area but the extent of the pain doesn't seem right. People with kidney stones can't get off the floor and it eventually passes or so I'm lead to believe.

I have also still been searching and came across a possiblity of IBS but my bowel and other symptoms don't match.

The spine idea is interesting since I have mild scoliosis. I'm curious about the nervous system connection. Can you offer more on that?

No for me for agent orange. As far as I know anyway. But that is interesting too.

Hi AJ,

Did you ever get a diagnosis? I too went to the ER a month 1/2 ago feeling the same way. Abdominal X-ray, CT scan with contrast, only thing came back was slightly elevated white blood cell count. Whent to family doc for follow up a couple days later, & WBC count was normal. I am still having that same nagging left side pain....

Never got a diagnosis, no. I started taking
probiotics as well as a few other things my sister (who's a naturopath) suggested for me, took it easy what I are & it disappeared!!! for a whole month! And then one saturday evening evening about 2 weeks ago it came back...? Randomly? We went to the tip that morning & I was throwing stuff into the pit so perhaps my movements jerked 'whatever it is'..?? Ever since though I've had the feeling back :( Its not painful & it's actually "there" less than last time but still - its there. Last visit to the doctor was 1.5months ago where she told me that since all of my tests have come back negative & clear AND since the "feeling" is in a spot on my body where there's no organs she wasn't too worried & that it must just be something I've accidentally strained?...She told me to keep applying heat & just take it easy & keep an eye on it & if in a month its still there - to come back & we'll investigate some more? (obviously my question is why couldn't it be investigated NOW?)...so needless to say, I am still unfortunately a sufferer
to whatever it is we're all going through :( After an X-ray, chest scans at the hospital AND an MRI i can see where the doctors are coming from in that they 'see' no issues, but that of course doesn't mean that magically my feeling is going to disappear. I didn't get my period for the 2 months that I had "health problems" to which I was told was nothing to stress about...I went off the pill for a month as I thought it might help me (being on the pill can affect your liver) so I tried that only to not have it change anything. Am back on the pull now - still awaiting my period however..... If anything I suggest taking some probiotics as these seemed to help within a day or so! Sorry I didn't have better news :( No other feedback from you...?

So I looked up Chronic Pancreatitus as suggested & sure a few symptoms are similar but the cause is mainly due to alcohol abuse? and that certainly isn't me...I found that website to have symptoms that anyone on the street could have at any given time?! Hard to diagnose yourself when there's so many 'popular' symptoms included there. And they suggest starting an oral food diet as a life change? sure....that's easy - ha! Appreciate the suggestion & I'm not saying its not what we all have but if there's anything Ive learnt through this process it's NOT to diagnose or google stuff yourself...only leads to panic/stress my friends.

Ps - Ann - how old are you can I ask??

Hi AJ,

LOL...don't worry about the typos...I knew what u meant! My phone does me like that all the time. I'm 40....and apparently falling apart lol. I've also wondered about chronic pancreitis, may have the dr look into it....not a drinker either but u never know. Just want it to go away whatever it is! You are so right about looking stuff up on "dr google"! I have scared myself doing that!

The amount of people I've read that have the same feeling is crazy - do we ALL just have C/P...surely it's something else I mean how can it just eerupt inside our bodies? Ann - how did your issue start?? remembering I woke up at 3am one morning with a feeling of being punched in the back...is yours a similar story?! Are you taking anything for it now or just taking it day by day? Does your feeling appear every day too? or just every now & then...?

:)
