Well, same boat here, I suppose. Started a few days ago.

All blood work seems normal and within limits.

It's not painful, ache-y and can't "feel" it when pushed, prodded...but it does feel like my belly is pushing into my rib cage on the right side. Bit of a pressure/bloated feeling - tight trouser waistband perhaps?

I don't drink alcohol or have too much red meat. I do need to lose about 10-15 lbs, though.

The symptoms described by most are the same that I'm feeling. Not painful at all but a feeling of pressure and tightness just under the right lower ribs/upper stomach when sitting or sometimes when lying down. Noticed the feeling about a week ago, and due to it being Christmas I haven't worked out for about 3 weeks and my diet's been pretty terrible compared to usual. Probably gained about 2/3 pounds but I'm a 23yr old slim, healthy Male. Went to the doctors today and I'm having a blood test next week and an ultrasound scan. Hopefully they'll highlight any problems, but slightly anxious as to what it could be. I have temporary feelings of bloating too so along with all the other symptoms, I have a feeling that it is something to do with my gallbladder/food intolerance.

I have had this problem for years as well. It is like a pressure from the inside, and when my medications retain fluid it gets worse. Just been on high doses of prednisolone, fluid retention is at it's max, and this pressure is driving me mad. I have had CT scan, ultrasounds, etc etc and still no results as to what it is. My Gastro doctor thinks I may get blockages, but even after taking laxatives it makes no difference. The really annoying part is, my bra fits me nicely on the left side and drives me crazy on the right side. I do find massaging the area helps to ease it at times. I guess from reading all of these posts, it is going to be a hard puzzle to solve.

Probably a nerve in your back going crazy. Try putting pressure on your back right behind this pressure feeling, if it eases the pressure, then it is just your nerve. It should be an almost instant effect. I usually massage behind the pressure area and it helps.

Hi there,

I am following this thread and see how many people have the "liver feeling" under their right rib cage.  I am a holistic health coach and I lead Liver-Gallbladder Flush Programs.  I have a group flush coming up at the end of March.  It is a gentle 5 day protocol that helps soften the stones that are backed up in your liver and gallbladder, and then helps to release them out of your body.

I have done the flush three times myself and have come out of it feeling great.  I would feel so honored to help anyone on here to become empowered and take charge of their health.

Thanks,

Nicole Breitman

Thanks for mentioning this. I started noticing a pulsating coming from my front right side, right at the waist under the ribs, a year ago when I had gastritis, and I also work shift work. I hadn't considered that night shift might have a role. What happened? I don't see a followup.

I have just started this also in the past week. the only thing I have taken different is V8 juice and walmart slim drinks with vitaimns. So I am going to see what happens when I discontinue these 2 products. I didn't have this feeling on my right side until I started drinking these. It does feel like a baby foot moving. But, if I am correct ? I had this many many years ago. they said it was a lot of gas in my gall bladder or pancreas. It is pressure just like everyone said. I have to go to the doctor on the 12th of may. If still happening and see what she says. I will tell you all.

Hi. I too have no gall bladder because they convinced me it was cause of pain.
Have you found relief?
I've made the decision to tell everyone do NOT have gall bladder removed. It is NOT the root cause of pain. S.T. Pain is nothing like lifelong pain after it's gone. People can treat cause of pain, but traditional med doctors are not allowed to tell you how. yes, I had a dr tell me that; he could lose his license if he treated anything but symptoms.

Did anyone ever find the cause to the "baby foot" feeling? Have had it for a few weeks mainly when sitting. Know for a fact it it's my gallbladder since mine was removed 12 years ago, and not a gluten allergy since gluten free due to having celiac & crohns. This feeling is driving my nuts...not painful, just annoying! Plan in calling the doctors Monday -but, dont feel like going through all the testing only to hear all is normal...grrr. I'd like to think I'm a healthy eater, and not over weight for a 36 year old female -but, know I should exercise more. Occasionally drink. So, I'm thinking it may be stress/anxiety related. Tough to reduce stress and anxiety when bothered by this feeling! Would love to hear what all of you have found out. Nice to see by all the comments I'm not alone!

Hi all. Look up "hiatus hernia" or "hiatal hernia." I have heard both names. Your symptoms sound like it. I have it. I know some chiropractors and osteopaths can manually pull down the viscera to relieve the pressure.

So far yes, I have pressure and pinching in gallbladder area. As of 6 months prior, ultra sound showed no sludge or stones. Last week - lost any desire to eat , upper stomach burning, etreme gas /etc. Had endoscopy and found acid reflux , swelling of stomach and gastritous. Blood work for liver and gallbladder are good but am going for another ultrasound next week again to check anyway.

Wallace, I have the same symptoms. Have had 2 ultrasounds and a Pipida scan which tests the function of the gallbladder. Nothing wrong. My doctor is thinking gall bladder, but I have not symptoms after I eat, I have the symptoms all of the time. When I am standing, no problem, but when I am sitting it feels like there are rolls of fat that are being squished. Has been going on for 5 months now. Hope someone finds an answer, I will keep reading....
