PROACTIVE ALERGIC REACTION!

Okay, my face is swelled up too. I finally got my second supply. and just the same time as I started it up again, my eyes are swollen!!! why did I ever get proactive.

so its safe to say that there should be a recall of pro-active. people who have consistent use and scattered use are suffering from the same random outbreacks and facial irratations. something has to give. sad story is. i was in new york attending a casting when i felt a severe itching and redness to my face and i looked in the mirror and thought i had been punched in both my eyes. its unreal what this does to the skin.

I just started using proactive+ and this has done the same to me...the last 2 mornings I have woke up with red, itchy, rough, & swollen eyes. The sad thing is, I did NOT wash my eyes with this product. First it was my left eye now my right eye. When I woke up both mornings my eye was almost swollen shut!! what is going on with this product that it is causing the eyes to swell??

I decided to get Proactiv for my acne because it was getting out of control. Well I ordered it, used it once and will never use again. I used it Saturday night and by Sunday I was very red and itchy. I decided at that time I would not be using it again. Monday morning rolls around my face and eyes are swollen, along with being red, itchy and dry! I go through the day wishing I could stay in bed. Well Tuesday morning finally comes and my face is even more swollen than Monday and my left eye is almost completely swollen shut. At this point I go to the ER and the PA tells me that it will keep getting worse because Proactiv's ingredients work against your skin cells. She prescribes me 9 days of prednisone and today was my first dose of it. I am hoping it kicks in soon because this swelling is very annoying and makes me want to not leave my room!

Faced the same problem. I used the cleanser once! only once! And the next day my skin was itching like hell, though wasn't that red. in two days it became more red, and it is still there

I used proactiv a couple of days ago and felt my skin getting tight and itchy yesterday, by last night I had a big itchy red rash around my mouth and eyes. This morning my eyes were puffy and swollen and incredibly itchy. I've since brought a whole lot of Cetaphil skin care products and have just put the moisturiser on and it feels 100% better!

Hi I just wanted to say that I used Proactiv only 2 times and I got a really bad reaction to it my face and neck where super red and burning and itchy. I was like that for a week trying to put all kinds of things over the counter to make the burning and itch stop with out any success, it would help a little bit then it would get bad again so what I did was put raw natural honey on my face and neck for about an hour. Rinsed it off put a little moisturizer and went to bed . And the next morning my face was finally back to normal honey has a lot of antinflamatory and helps with healing of the skin I spend so much money on all this other c**p and this did it once and done . Hopes this helps good luck

I have been using Proactiv for a couple months. My face is constantly itchy- especially my eyes. A few times my neck broke out with small red bumps (hives I guess). So I stopped putting the product on my neck. Has this hive prob happened to anyone else? Also, I still get a zit from time to time...wth! After I run out I'm done with this product! I may try Olay Fresh Effects.

The same thing happened to me a day ago!! I didnt go to school because im too hideous my face is all swollen and red, the night i did use proactiv i used the renewing cleanser and the repairing lotion which was totally normal because i didnt have this problem til now!! And in the morning i strated scratching it and it made the thing worse but i coulndt help but scratch :(

How long until your face healed?? Did you do anything that helped. My face looks horrible...

Tried Proactiv plus and started having  dry skin, very irritated and itchy, extremely frustrating.  Must most of all my "EYES"  Oh my gosh, the lids at the top are Beet red and So  unbelievably swollen , I look like Garfield on Steroids.  Will be sending back!  Beware of this new line they have!!!!

LAWSUIT!  I am going to sue this company!  My face is completly swollen, red, and itchy.  Apparently others have the same problem.  Customer service gave me a complete bs run a round.  After talking to several different agents they finally say "I'm not trained to help you"

 I periodically used another product, Clean and Clear 5% BP, with no (noticable) problems for months.  Suddenly this product caused swollen/baggy eyes, dry skin around they eyes, etc.   And the amount required is apparantly VERY small, since I'm very careful to use a small amount and not get it anywhere around, under or near the eyes.  I did a "test" a few weeks later (very small amount to wash the face, extended rinsing) and same result.  This seems mostly some form of allergic reaction, but is likely chemical in nature as well.  I'm also do not have any known allergies.

(For people with other types of eylid irritations, the opthamologist recommends using a drop or two of baby-shampoo on a wet cotton ball and GENTLY washing the eyelids).

Same here! i just got proactive yesterday morning and used it as soon as i got it, and then last night before i went to bed. I was at work last night and realized my face was getting really itchy and red. this morning i woke up and looked in the mirror and wanted to cry. my eyes are SO PUFFY, my face is bright red and itchy, I seriously don't even want to go to work today because I look so ugly. I called proactive and the lady was very nice and she refunded me my money and told me to definitely discontinue the product. I also only used the 3 step. What is all the hype about proactive when it does this to so many people?? I didn't really even have acne (i used to have it really bad) and i still occasionally break out so i decided what the hell, ill try it. i'm very pissed!
