Pros and cons of tubal ligation - should I get my tubes tied?

Well, first of all, you need to question your reasons for doing this. If you think that your reasons for doing tubal ligation are good, then you can proceed to the next step which is to learn about how safe the procedure is. The procedure is actually quite safe because medicine has progressed so much so you don't have to worry about that but one of the cons is that if you decide to do tubal ligation reversal, you are not very likely to become pregnant after it and the procedure actually costs a lot of money, up to 9 thousand dollars.

I don't really understand how do you expect people to answer that question, should you have your tubes tied? It is just weird, tubal ligation surgery is a surgery that is done so many times now, it is really safe so the only thing that you want to ask yourself is if this is what you want to do, that is the answer to your question.  On the other hand, ChameleonColor is right, you shouldn't do this if you are having second thoughts or if you think that you are going to have tubal ligation reversal some day because it is crazily expensive.

I tied my tubes a couple of years ago and I think that it was the best decision that I've ever made. I simply told to myself that that was exactly what I wanted and kind of needed so I did it and I didn't regret a single time. 

I think that if your mind is not completely set for this that you shouldn't do it then, otherwise you will just be thinking about what you have done and you are not going to be sure if it was the right thing to do or not, you can try it when you feel completely ready to do it.

Also, a lot of girls believe that once they do this procedure, they are safe from any type of the diseases. That is wrong.
