Hey, I'm 15 and have been masturbating for a few years but nothing happens. I am wondering if lubes will help but I'm new with using lubes so I dont know much about them, does the pharmacy allow teens to get stuff like that? I know it's a stupid question buts I would feel embarrist if they said no.

Thanks
Hi,

A water based lube can be used for other reasons, not just for masturbating. There should be no problem buying them.

I'm not sure what you mean by "nothing happens." If you have signs of puberty then perhaps you need to try a different method.

Hope it helps.

thanks for the reply and I mean I dont ejaculate, I have public hair around my penis and in my armpits so I think I have hit puberty but havent ejaculated yet. What would you suggest?

Yup, you're in puberty.

Have you ever had a "wet dream?"

I think so as I have woken up with a wet patch on my underwear so yeah i guess...

Great! Then we know things are working right.

It's probably just how you're doing it. Not everyone responds to the up and down motion. You just have to find a way that works for you.

Do you get any feelings out of it when you try? What happens?

Not any pleasurable feelings I dont think. All my penis does is erect and I dont feeling anything much happening. I am starting to wonder if there is something wrong with me...

I don't think there is anything wrong. If you can have a wet dream then you do ejaculate. That means that everything is working.

You may not be trying long enough. Do you ever get to a point where it feels kind of like you need to urinate? That could mean you're getting close. Sometimes its hard to differentiate the feelings at first.

I do at some stage but I only urinate and thats it. I have tried for awhile before and nothing changed...

Try a different way. I can't tell you how to masturbate. I don't think there is anything wrong though.

Sorry, good luck.

Ok, thanks for all your help! But i'm still not sure about the wet dream stage...

The wet dream or "nocturnal emission" is your body releasing semen. It's very normal, very common, and a very good sign that you are healthy and developing normally.

Good luck!
