I have what you describe. My diagnosis was Schamberg disease. Vein clinic doctor prescribed *prescription* compression stockings ( normal people can not wear them). It made all the difference in the world and stopped the pain.

The same thing happens to me. Did your doctor give you any more information?

I have the exact same problem! My doctor says its normal but it sure is annoying, especially because I have to wear skirts everyday. Hopefully it goes away eventually.

I have the same problem! I was on vacation a year ago and some sweet ladies pointed at my feet and thought that I was sunburned. I had just got there and had not even been in the sun prior!

It's because you don't move your feet

Can you please elaborate? Did you have purplish/red legs after standing or even sitting? Many thanks!

Well, I have purple feet when I stand for more than 30 seconds. Spreads up past mid thigh and stops. I'll tell you my problems and maybe you have the same thing: I have Ehlers danlos hypermobility type, POTS (with blood pooling) and Behçet's(autoimmune vasculitis, less likely to be this if this is your only symptom) and with that secondary Raynauds. I actually have damage to my small nerve fibers so my blood "pools in my legs", the EDS makes it hard because I'm a bit more sensitive to temperature changes and hypermobile so I don't know if I'm hyperextending say a knee, the Behçet's causes inflammation of the blood vessels and a slew of other issues, the nerve damage is linked into the Behçet's and the POTS and essentially means my body can't adjust to gravity when standing (so instead of pumping into a tube It's pumping into a large barrel-- as a result I get tachycardia and pass out), Raynauds causes a vasospasm which is actually the opposite of the POTS-- the blood vessels restrict. But any of these disease could cause your issue as well as peripheral vascular disease, etythromelgia, atherosclerosis, CRPS (more likely if it's interment, swelling occurs and it's painful), etc
