Hi, I've been sexually active unprotected 4months+ now. Recently we've been trying to concieve. I'm a month late, we both smoke marijuana daily. I've taken two test both negative... Could the marijuana be a hold up of us trying to have a baby or could it be an issue wl me??

Hi, not to lecture you, but if you are actively trying to become pregnant you shouldn't be smoking pot in the first place.  It could cause harm to your unborn baby, and if you are lucky enough to have a healthy baby born after smoking during your pregnancy, they could still suffer later on from learning disabilities.  Not to mention, if you deliver your baby at any hospital, they drug test you and your baby.  If either of you test positive, your baby will never leave the hospital with you.  It will be taken into custody immediately and you will have to do whatever the courts and social services require of you in order to get your baby back.  I've worked as a labor & delivery nurse for years, so trust me, I know.  To answer your question, yes, pot can cause infertility, sometimes life long even if you quit smoking.  It can cause eggs not to be released, which could be why you aren't having a regular period, and it can cause slow motility in sperm or blanks.
