Dr. Kanodia does not come cheap - charging up to 3X more than what you'd expect to pay for a nose job - HOWEVER - this surgeon has a stellar reputation and a lot of satisfied patients. This is why I've chosen to put my face in his hands. Yes, it's a lot of money, perhaps shockingly high to many of you, but I have seen countless bad and obvious-looking nose jobs, and I do not want to be among them. Trust is a big issue when opting for plastic surgery, so if I'm going to do it, I'm going with the best. His approach is conservative, and he understands the "artistry" of this procedure.

About Dr. Alex Kim, I have a consult scheduled with him next week, and was trying to find out about him. Other that this and what's on his actual site there is nothing. Would you mind sharing your experience with him. Specifically if you had him do your work and if not why? I am consulting him for a breast augmentation, and am looking for as much info as possible. Thank you so much!

Dr. Raj Kanodia charges $200 for consultation, and about $15,000 for the actual surgery. His price for rhinoplasty is said to go up to $20,000 by next year because he is in high demand and people are willing to pay that much (is what he said to me) If you want a dramatic change he is not the doctor for you. He believes a little goes a long way. He is a very cocky doctor, not very friendly because he knows he the best at what he does. Recovery is great, did not hurt at all just a bit disconforting. I would highly recommend him if your going for a settle change!

the cost of having dr. kanodia has gone up. $18,000 is the cost of rhinoplasty with dr. kanodia thats not including the cost of lab work, post-op medication and the vitamin k you have to take a week before surgery. it also took me months before i could get a consultation and the wait time to get the surgery is 6 months. He is very in demand since he did ashley simpson's nose so when you do finally go in for your consultation you get very little time with him not friendly at all. He is one of the best but the cost is out of a lot of peoples budgets.

I recently got rhinoplasty with Dr. Kanodia and I'm asian. I did it as a graduate school gift to myself. I did not have a flat nose but I did have a bulbous tip. He narrowed the spine of my nose and thinned out the tip. I am absolutely ecstatic with my new nose. While the change is not drastic, it has made a huge difference in my life. Perhaps it's part mental but I feel so much more confident.

Yes, the cost is a bit steep - I paid $15K not including pre op lab work, and post op meds but it was well worth it. It is your face, not to mention the "center" of your face. You want to get it right the first time around.

My advice is to have realistic expectations. He is a miracle worker but he's not a magician. He can only make your nose into what it has the potential to be. I think he is great with making sure it's in harmony with the rest of your features.

He really means it when he says "I'm going to give you the nose you could have been born with," meaning don't expect to come out with a euro-centric nose if you don't have the nasal column for it because the results would be very unnatural looking.

With that said, I wish you all good luck and I hope you find what you're looking for.

I've had my rhinoplasty two years ago. My nose was broken for awhile and after the surgery, at first my nose looked good but then the swelling went down and my nose was still crooked and the tip of my nose stuck out. I called and emailed Dr Kanodia about my nose and had gone to see him. When I mentioned that my nose still did not look right he showed me pictures of my nose previously saying that I cannot seek perfection. I went again a second time because I was fed up and in pictures you could clearly see my nose was not straight this time I emailed him and sent in pictures and also had to talk to a nurse over the phone, after I did all that he called me back and said he could do injections in my nose that a second surgery was not nessesary. He had put in three injections in my nose which hurt first of all and second made my nose look swollen. That was back in March and still to this day my nose now looks distorted and swollen when I wake up in the morning or when I excerise.
I saw another plastic surgeon for a second opinion and he had said I still had a deviated septum. I emailed Kanodia twice now with no response back...I paid 12K for my surgery and its frustrating when you pay for the best still end up with results you did not want and a doctor who won't admit it and correct the problem...my suggestion is go to another plastic surgeon who would is willing to make you happy and most importantly makes you feel comfortable

I'm Asian as well and recently got my nose done by David E. Kim in Beverly Hills. I researched most of the doctors in Beverly Hills including Nassif, Kanodia, and Charles Lee. I narrowed down my choices to Lee and Kim for obvious reasons, both being Asian whom I assumed would have more experience with my nose. I chose Kim because of the price.

I saw the before and after pictures for both Kanodia and Nassif and was not impressed. But being Asian, I have a different problem with my nose--bulbous tip and nostrils and wide bridge. My profile is actually fine with a high bridge for an Asian nose, though a slight bump.

Most people who are unhappy with their nose are looking for a subtle change, but I wouldn't have minded a dramatic change. I mean I am paying a lot of money after all and would like to see a difference. Why would I pay so much money to look essentially the same?

I just had my nose done a week ago and the results are satisfactory, but I wish it could have been better. My mom loves my nose and thinks it's a huge improvement because it makes me look natural. I went to a family gathering and nobody noticed that I had a nose job. It definitely balances out my face, but when I look in the mirror, I'm scared of seeing that bulbous mess again. Oh well, it's only been a week and perhaps I'm not being realistic enough. My appearance has definitely improved but it's sinking in that I can never be model pretty.

I paid $8500 for the rhinoplasty which is the low end of the spectrum for Beverly Hills plastic surgery. Similar to Kanodia, David Kim had rude bedside manners, had a 5 minute consultation, didn't discuss complications, no courtesy call the day after surgery to see if I was okay, and was too busy schmoozing with friends when I called him due to my bleeding profusely. When he unveiled the cast off my nose, he didn't even give me a mirror so I could look at it, but rushed me out of his office as soon as he took the "after" pictures.

I know I'm paying him to be my doctor, not my friend, but for being a physician, David Kim has lost all of his basic clinical knowledge of medicine. (I am in the medical profession so I would know). He doesn't know how to prescribe basic medications and when I ask him clinical related questions, he counters all of my questions. I can never get a direct answer from him. Imagine if I had any real or serious complications!

Personally, I think Kanodia is overrated. You can go to David Kim's site--he has tons of before and afters and could probably do the same work Kanodia can. I'm sure if you do enough research, you can find any reputable doctor who can fix your problem, especially if your issue is having a bump on your nose. That seems to be the case with most people and shaving down a bump is not a difficult procedure in my opinion. Ashlee Simpson had a bump on her nose and looks great now because she was already pretty to begin with. So not all the credit is due to Kanodia.

This man is a horrible person and you will notice the moment you walk in. He rushes you through any consultation misleading you that he understands what you have in mind but is really just trying to get the next patient in. He has had millions off these tactics saying he is a "genius of proportions". He is simply pushing a assembly line of noses to which he does not care about anything other than cashing in doing the same routine. The nose he carved on my face has ruined my life. He defers any problems that happen for liability by blaming his clients for any trauma was a result of his actions. He is not a bully, he is simply trying to avoid lawsuits in this way. Now I have to wake up daily with the botched surgery he preformed, it is like a nightmare you cannot wake up from. Please don't make the same mistake, this guy needs to be held accountable for what he is doing to all the good people he is ruining. He treats everyone like cattle and shows up to work in sneakers partied out from the night before. 100% do NOT recommend - 100% worst regret of my life.

If you have suffered the same experience please do not be afraid and contact me so we can stop further abuse of trust and misrepresentation that causes suffering to others. :!:
