Im from Wales in Great Britain. Iv'e been hugely unhappy with my nose for many years and always hoped of having it done. Im now 18 and have been trawling through website after website for the best place to go to. Iv'e read up about Dr Raj Kanodia as being one of those top quality surgeons and was just wondering what other people thought? Because i dont live any where near Beverly hills it would be quite a distance for me to travel and wondered if he was worth it. Has anyone travelled a long distance and recieved the comfort they expected or been very dissapointed? Thanks
Hi--- I traveled across the US to see Dr. Kanodia 2 weeks ago, and I was quite pleased. His office staff was extremely efficient ...and attentive. I found Dr. Kanodia to very professional and pleasant at the same time. I enjoyed talking with him!!
The nurse snapped pictures of my face/nose first. Next, he examined me, and then discussed in detail ( while I looked at my face in a mirror) what needed to be done to naturally improve the look of my nose. He does not use computer generated images of your possible "new nose"
His work is amazing...and he is admired among physicians even here on the east coast!!
He is truly an artist. He does NOT have a generic, "signature" nose. He adjusts one's nose according to his or her face, it appears. (Personally, I would travel anywhere for that alone)
The wait is long to first get a consultation with him AND to schedule your surgery. I think he is worth the wait. I will have my surgery with him next spring!
The price is high;however, I suspect this is relative.
Hopefully, this sheds a LITTLE insight into the visit with Dr. Kanodia
good luck!! go see him!!

Has anyone had experiences with dr Mark Constantian in New Hampshire? He comes recommended by Dr Sheen who is now retired and was regarded as the top notch rhinoplasty specialist. I'm in San Diego but don't mind traveling to see the best! Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of Dr Marc Mani, dr stoker or Dr Bradly (UCLA)
Dr. Kanodia's price is going up next year, I was told over the phone! In 2006 it was $12,000 - $15,000 , then this year it went to $14,000 - $18,000 . I guess in 2008 it will be like $18,000 - $22,000 ?! I don't know but I hope not. He really is the best out there! He has done Ashlee Simpson , Cameron Diaz , The Olsen Twins , and this year Jennifer Aniston ! plus many more celebs we just dont know! He is worth the extra money, I just hope he stops going up lol Ashlee Simpson's nose turned out amazing! He really is the best in the world!
I guess he continues to raise his prices - I just called his office on 10-17-2007 and they said he charges from $14,000 to $18,000 for a rhinoplasty now. That means the cheapest is $14K! I guess when you have a great reputation, you can charge the most! That doesn't mean there are not other great surgeons, that may be just as good or even better than Dr. Kanodia, it just means that he has marketed himself very well so his clients perceive that he is "worth it".

I would wait until you are older. Looking back, I wanted one soooo bad when I was your age. However, had I been able to get one, I don't think that I would have done my due diligence. Rather, I would have rushed into it and gone w/ the cheapest/shortest wait. If you say that you want the best, but are concerned about the price of the airfare, I can tell that you are too concerned about the costs as it is.
Wait until you're at least 20 or 21. If it truly is important to you, you'll wait to have all the money to consult w/ the best and book it through them. If for no other reason why you should wait until you're older, you should wait b/c your nose continues to change as you get older. Since you're right at the cusp of major changes, you should probably wait until your bodily changes have slowed down.

Hi Everyone,
I just thought I would thank you all for all the info on Dr. Kanodia, this has been helpful and also left me a little doubtful about going to see him. However, I did not find any of this info until the night before my appointment. So since I waited about 6 months to get in for my consultation and I didn't want to cancel at the last minute, I decided to go and find out what he had to say. My appointment was 0n 11-27-07. I myself had a very nice experience with him, my experience was just how the person that calls themselve (Guest) described it to be. I never asked for prices before going in, I feel as most of you, that your turn out is more important then the money, however for myself, I don't have an unlimitted amount to spend, and since I had no idea what it would cost, I had an amount that I would be willing to pay if I had to, if I was happy with what he had to say. I was happy with what he had to say, however in my particular situation there is only so much he can do to improve it, and really wants for me to think about it and suggested seeing other Doctors for their opinions. I found him to be very honest, this is the second consultation I have been to for Rhinoplasty, the first Doctor said, it is not broken or crooked, so in his opinion there was nothing wrong with it. That was about 4 years ago, since then I found out about Dr. Kanodia and herd he is the best, and we all want the best, when it comes to something like this. He does get $200 for the consultation fee, however they told me at the desk that he shaved $100 from that, so my cost was $100. Why, I have no idea, he spent about 20 min's with me, and I felt we covered everything. He told me my surgery was $15,000 and $3,000 for the anesthesiologist for a total of $18,000.00.
I had 2 concerns when I went in, one he would turn me away as the other Doctor did, and two, it would cost as much as he quoted me. I, like alot of you feel it is worth it, but if you don't have it, you don't have it. I agree that there are other Doctors out there, that are just as good that charge less. I am not looking for a cheap Doctor, but a doctor that knows what he is doing and for a good price. I hope this info helps someone out there that is interested in Rhinoplasty.

Ya, he did a good job on some movie stars. I am sure he had to be his best that day. I do not think that means he will not try as hard on a nobody. I am sure he always trys. But if you are very famous he will try harder.
Dr. Kanodia performed rhinoplasy on me 28 years ago just after going into private practice. He is a remarkable and talented artist who can only have improved and perfected his craft after all these years. I had broken my nose multiple times in childhood and had developed a grossly deviated septum. I really hated my profile. The surgery produced a subtle change that softened my facial features; I have been so very pleased with the results after all these years. Fortunatley, my insurance covered my surgery, but I seem to remember the expenses being somewhere around 5,000 to 7,000 dollars in total back in 1980.
He also did rhinoplasy on several friends and a cousin of mine. All were very happy with their results.
If you can afford it, you are in very capable hands.

My daughter has been seen at Boston Childrens Hospital for the past year. Along with her numerous staff of doctors, one is a Pediatric Plastic Surgeon. I had asked him for myself a recommendation on a surgeon for rhinoplasty. Assuming it would be an associate or such located within the many hospitals of Boston, it was not. He was quick to rec. Dr Mark Constantian in Nashua NH. He said without a dout the "best in the country". This man has been caring for my daughter and has my complete trust. I have a consultation 2/18.
I just had a consultation with a surgeon in Tampa and the rhinoplasty is about $9000. If your in Beverly Hills I'd bet it's going to be more than that.
Hey everyone. In October I booked my surgery for early April. He was the third doctor with whom I consulted. I liked very much how we were on the same page as to the aesthetic problems w/ my nose. I found him to be nice, never mean or rude. Rather, he tells it how it is. In the end, all surgeons do what they think is best. So I guess his style helps to weed out those who won't be satisfied with the kind of nose he would give them. Some might consider it rude that he doesn't ask them what they don't like, but looking back, I think it's only because he has an eye for how to make it better. For instance, it's useless to tell an orthodontist that you don't like an out-of-place front tooth in an overcrowded mouth and tell him to yank it out. Orthodontists know that you can't just extract one of the front teeth and then fix the rest since the finished product will look off-balanced. Instead, they know that they have to yank out the molars and slowly let the out-of-place tooth come to its right place. Thus, what you think needs to be done is irrelevant. Each orthodontist has his own style of fixing it, but it probably doesn't involve much of what the patient thinks.
Anyway, back on point, I booked the surgery mainly due to the strength of the pictures in his B&A book for noses like mine (hook nose). After seeing the book, I knew that I could completely trust his eye and skill.
I just had my one month pre-op appt. It went so well, that I left ecstatic. He definitely had more time then and was much friendlier and better about calming my nerves. He went over again what changes he would make and answered all of my questions. His staff was even gracious enough to change my surgery date on such short notice.
I'm very optimistic for my surgery. It feels really good to know that I have a doctor who has my unwavering trust. I'll try to keep everyone posted on the post-surgery results.
