I woke up yesterday and noticed a small red blotchy spot on my penis. It feels sort of painful when I touch it. The thing I could compare it to the most is an ingrown hair, but it's on the shaft where hair does not grow. Honestly I'm not too worried about it, just curious to get some opinion. It does feel like a little bump inside but is not raised much. Coincidentally I also got a cold yesterday, but it mainly effects my sinuses. Runny/stuffy nose and such. Any input would be appreciated.

Are you sexually active? If not we can rule out a lot of things.
It could very well be a pimple. If you start noticing more of them or if they seem to ulcer or crust then you should see your doctor.
The URI is probably just that as well. Stay hydrated.

URI = Upper Respiratory Infection.
Keep an eye on the pimple. If there is just the one and it looks like a pimple, it probably is. If not, post back.
