In the last month or so I've been having outbreaks where my face is bright red in places and a few scaly spots here and there. I'm pretty fair skinned and my face is VERY sensitive so I used to use Aveeno moisturizer.
The first time this happened I went to Ulta and bought Eucerin moisturizer for sensitive skin with a redness reducer, it worked great for a month or so and now it's happening again. All of the sudden the Eucerin burns like hell when I put it on, so I switched back to Aveeno which doesn't burn but doesn't help the redness or scaly spots on my chin and eye lid.
I've also tried rubbing vitamin E on my face which also seemed to help the first time, but isn't now. I haven't changed any brands of soaps, makeup or anything I use except the moisturizer. I even stopped wearing the perfume I've worn for 4+ years and stopped wearing nail polish.
I don't know what to do, it's very uncomfortable and dry and just all around ugly to look at. I'm not sure a dermatologist would be covered on my insurance, but at this rate I might just go and pay for it myself. If anyone knows what this could be and/or what could cure it I would be so happy! Thanks in advance for any advice :-)
